A Message from the President
Hello Friends, Happy New Year! 2012 has gone by rather quickly. We had 2 successful events in 2012 put together by IAFM—Diwali and New Years Eve party. Diwali was celebrated at Harborside Event Center in November. It was a huge suc-cess. We had cultural programs (thanks to all the members of the community who took part in the cultural programs), delicious food and an open dance floor. New Years’ eve party was held at the Cape Coral Yatch club and guests were treated with fine Indian food, open dance floor and Champagne to ring in the New year. This year we are hosting our India Fest at Fort Myers High School on March 23rd . There will be delicious Indian food available, world-class entertainment and wonderful shop-ping opportunities followed by live entertainment in the evening. So please give all your love and support by attending this function and help us by sponsoring and volunteering at the event. I thank you for your continued support and urge you to make the membership due pay-ment for 2013 if you have not already done so.

a great year! This year Youth
Wing has participated in the
Autism walk, the Alzheimer’s
walk and the Heart Walk.
Youth Wing is looking
forward to doing the Annual
Youth Wing Fashion Show at
the India Fest. Everyone who
has completed at least two of
the activities above is welcome
to be a part of the Fashion

Please note that the membership dues are changing starting from the
year 2012 as follows:
Individual $50
Family $75
Life Membership Individual $750
Life Membership Family $1000
Membership forms (new/renewal/update) can be downloaded from our
website http://www.iafortmyers.org
If you have not already paid the Annual dues for 2013, we encourage
you to mail a check as soon as possible. Note that membership fees
were due by Dec 31 2012.

Please note: As per the new by-laws, Membership dues not paid by Dec 31st will be considered delinquent, resulting in removal from the Mailing List and Membership Directory of the India Association.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT INDIA FEST CULTURAL PROGRAM de
The deadline to submit your entries is : Mar 13, 2013. All entries must be received by the deadline. Every entry must include: Title of the
item, names of participants and the approximate length of performance. Please email
Only IAFM members or members’ kids can perform at the India Fest function. If
you or your child is performing then please make sure your 2013 dues are already
paid prior to the day of the event.
Members are welcome to participate in more than one cultural item.
Please make sure to provide a copy of the CD (song) one week in advance. The copies
should be labeled with your name. At the end of the function, please see Nithya to
retrieve your CDs.
2 rehearsals (Full rehearsal and Stage rehearsal) will be held prior to the event.
Details regarding the rehearsals will be communicated to the coordinators/
participants via email
