Increase Sales

Consumers prefer the convenience and flexibility of cards over paper certificates. Additionally, money spent over the value of the card and cards that are never utilized (lost or forgotten) represent 100% profit to the merchant.

Eliminate Cash Back

Unlike traditional paper certificates, the balance on the card is automatically updated with each use. This process eliminates the need for merchants to provide a cash reimbursement to their customers for the remaining value of the card. Gift cards can also be reloaded with additional value, making them an ideal tool to promote repeat shopping.

Prevent Fraud

Gift cards offer superior security compared to paper certificates since they have no value until they are activated at the point of sale. Lost or stolen cards that have not been loaded at the POS terminal have no value and gift cards cannot be duplicated or photocopied. To enroll merchant will receive an email with a unique link to a simple and intuitive online interface to enroll and order their cards. The site allows them to select one of our predesigned templates or upload their own image. They can then customize the card with their business information and easily select different fonts, colors and text placement.

Gift Program

Electronic gift cards are magnetic stripe enabled cards that can be loaded with a dollar value to be used by a consum-er to purchase goods or services from the merchant who issued the card. The cards do not have any value until they are loaded at the point of sale, at which time the cashier enters the amount that the customer wishes to put on the card.

Multiple Package Options

Your merchants will be able to choose from a variety of card packages with various design options and quantities. Our easy-to-use online ordering system allows your merchants to select one of our pre-designed templates or upload their own custom image. Description: Merchant can select one of our full color pre-designed templates and customize with their business name, address, phone number, website or slogan. The merchant can select from 41 ink colors for the text and 25 different font styles.

Packages: First 50 cards are provided free of charge. Additional cards can be ordered in quantities from 100-1,000. Larger orders are available upon request.

Description: Merchant can upload their own logo/background image and customize with their business name, address, phone number, website or slogan. The merchant can select from 41 ink colors for the text and 25 different font styles.

OPTION 3 – PROFESSIONAL DESIGN

Description: Our Gift Card Department can design a custom gift card for the merchant. The merchant will be in direct contact with a professional designer to create the perfect card for their needs.

Packages: First 50 cards are provided free of charge. Additional cards can be ordered in quantities from 100-1,000. Larger orders are available upon request. $75/hour for professional design.

Harbortouch’s gift card packages provide the easiest way to accommodate any merchant's needs, regardless of their size or transaction volume. Merchants will be able to select from a variety of pre-designed cards or they can even personalize their gift card packages with their own custom artwork. All gift card packages include a display stand with insert, card sleeves and envelopes, a window decal and 2 register decals.

1. Simply check the gift card box on the merchant application to enroll. Once the merchant's account is approved, they will be sent a link via e-mail to a simple and intuitive online interface, "the gift card wizard", to order their cards.

2. Once the merchant has received a link to the gift card wizard, they must provide the requested company information to register an account.

3. Select preferred card option:

a. Pre-designed template

b. Upload image

c. Professionally designed card

4. Follow the prompts to complete your card customization and order.

5. Once design is complete, merchant will view a proof of the card to approve or to make any changes. Merchant will also confirm shipping address and shipping method. They will also be given an option to purchase additional card quantities at this time.

6. Once the order has been submitted, an email confirmation will be sent to merchant and card production will begin.

Merchants can access their daily transaction reports through a designated website. To request additional reports, call 888-276-2108 option 3 or giftcards@shift4.com.

For Cardholders:

Cardholders will also be able to check the balance on their cards by either asking the merchant to perform a “balanceinquiry” at the point of sale or by visiting www.checkmygiftbalance.com and entering their card number.

Can I mark up the gift card pricing?

The card prices, monthly fees and per transaction fees are all fixed and cannot be marked up. This simplifiesthe sign-up process by allowing you to just mark a single checkbox to get a merchant set up with gift cards.

Can existing Harbortouch merchants sign up for the new gift card program?

Existing merchants can sign up for this program. The merchant must call the Gift Card Department to add gift cards to their account.
