Meter Exchange Program

District personnel is in the process of exchanging old SRII meters with new iPERL Smart Meter technology per the District’s Meter Exchange Program. The District is being pro-active in exchanging these meters prior to them fail-ing. There is no fee for the new meter and water service will only be interrupt-ed for a short period during the exchange.

Smart meters capture daily usage, enabling the operators an ability to retrieve useful data in trouble shooting leaks.

With no moving parts, lead-free iPERL Smart Meters are projected to have a 20-year life. These meters improve operational efficiency and customer ser-vice.

Imagine a day with no water! No water to shower, flush the toilet, or do

laundry. Hospitals would close without water. Firefighters couldn't put

out fires and farmers couldn't water their crops. There would be no Starbucks!

Essential. Reliable. Invaluable. Water—it’s the thread that weaves together our daily

lives. It keeps our communities healthy, our cities running, and our economies grow-

ing. While essential, water infrastructure is largely invisible. Few people realize what

it takes to treat and deliver drinking water every day. The high quality of life we en-

joy in America would not be possible without water and the infrastructure that sup-

plies it. Help us celebrate this day by visiting www.thevalueofwater.org to learn

more about this precious resource we all need to survive.

Remember to slow down on Halloween, October 31st, for trick-or-treaters. If you

sure to check all candy thoroughly and discard all questionable pieces.
