Incident that show courage. In the novel Journey to the Centre of the earth, the incident in which the character showed courage in the face of danger was when Axel lost his way and he was alone. However, he managed to calm down. He thought he could follow the stream to find his way out. He failed several times and met a few dead ends. However, he showed his courage and kept trying to find a way out. When he heard the gunshot, he talked to his uncle and finally he walked down a tunnel and fell down into Hans’ arms. He was saved. His courage saved his life. Moral values of Co-orperation, obedience and loyalty. In the novel Journey to the Centre of the Earth, we can learn the moral value of Co-operation, Obedience and loyalty. Professor Otto Lidenbrock, Axel Lidenbrock and Hans are a team. They take the journey to the centre of the earth together. They do not know what they will see and face in the journey. Hence, to ensure their safety, they show the spirit of co-orperation. They work together as a team and look after each other. For example, before they go down the pit, Axel feels dizzy and almost falls into the pit. Hans saves him. When water is not enough, Axel becomes anxious. However, he follows his uncle obediently and finally Hans manages to find water for them. Hans is a very loyal guide. He never leaves Professor Otto Lidenbrock and Axel Lidenbrock when they face problems. Without Hans, the journey will not succeed. All in all, Professor Otto Lidenbrock, Axel Lidenbrock and Hans show the moral values of co-operation, obedience and loyalty throughout the journey. It describes the journey of Professor Lidenbrock, Axel Lidenbrock and Hans to the centre of the earth. Throughout the journey, they see many fantastic things and face many dangers. However, they never give up. They show great courage, determination, co-operation, responsibility and loyalty to each other. For example, Professor Otto Lidenbrock is very determined to complete the journey and he never gives up. He is very brave, enthusiastic and optimistic. He leads Axel and Hans to complete the amazing and fantastic Journey. On top of this, we can see the spirit of co-operation among them. They work together as a team and look after each other. For example, before they go down the pit, Axel feels dizzy and almost falls into the pit. Hans saves him. In addition, the guide, Hans shows great responsibility and loyalty to his masters. He does not leave Professor Otto Lidenbrock and Axel Lidenbrock when they face problems. He also manages to find water to save them. Without hans, the journey will fail. I like the story because it teaches me that we must never give up if we want to succeed in our lives. I think my friends will like reading this novel too because it is very inspiring.
