There are two criteria:

• You must have passed XII or Equivalentexamination with mathematics as one of thesubjects and have score more than 50% marks inaggregate

AND

• You must pass recognised Aptitude test i.e.,National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

ABOUT NATA

NATA 2016 stands for National Aptitude Test in Architecture.

NATA measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study i.e. architecture.

It is an entrance examination for admission into the 5 years B.Arch (Bachelor in Architecture)Courses.

NATA 2016 is conducted by the Council of Architecture.

NATA 2016 is mandatory for admission in 1 to 5 years into the B. Arch degree course in all

government, private and deemed colleges.

NATA 2016 Eligibility Criteria

• A Candidate who wishes to appear for NATA 2016 must have passed SSC or its equivalent exam

to be eligible for NATA 2016 but that doesn't make them eligible for admission in B.Arch

courses.• A Candidate must have passed SSC and HSC, or equivalent exam with minimum of 50% marks.

• Mathematics must be the main subject in SSC and HSC.

• Candidates who have passed 10+3 diploma (any stream) from Central/State Government with

an aggregate of 50% can also apply for NATA 2016.

NATA 2016 Registration form can be filled and submitted ONLINE from this websiteby payment of NATA fees of Rs. 1250.00 (+ Processing Charges) using Net banking /

Credit Cards / ICICI Isure Bank Challan

Download the Prefilled Registration form and procure the necessary registration

documents.

Select a Test Center / Region (from the website http://www.nata.in) at a location

convenient to the candidate and apply.

Starting 1st April 2016 Candidates can attempt NATA for a maximum of 5 (FIVE)

TIMES within Two Years from the date of their First attempt.

The best score out of the number of attempts till date will be the “ VALID SCORE ” (

Maximum of 5 ) w.e.f. 1st April 2016.

Validity of the “Best score” will be for 2 years from the date of their first attempt in

2016.

• The drawing test of NATA will be for duration of

two hours.

• Candidates will have to attempt three questionsin total.

• The answers to each question will be examinedindependently by a panel of three examiners and

the marks will be averaged thereafter.

shapes, Human figures.

• One point & 2 point Perspective drawing & its applicationin memory drawing

• Colour scheme & colour theory

• Visualization of 2D into 3D objects & Composition of 2Dand 3D objects with shade and shadows

• Mural Design, Logo design



Design AcademyAesthetic Sensitivity Test

• The Aesthetic Sensitivity Test will comprise of 40 questions of theMultiple Choice Type.

• The test will be computer based and will assess candidates onvarious components such as their Architectural Awareness,

Mental Ability, Analytical reasoning etc.

• As this test will be a computerized adaptive test, the questionswill be tailored to the level of ability of the candidate.

• The final score of candidates in this section will be determined on

the basis of the average difficulty level of the questions that wereasked and the number of questions that were answered correctlyby the candidate.

• Negative marking will not be applicable in this test.

Technical Terms in Architecture Field
