LOCAL OPTION ELECTIONS
There were 43 local option elections reported to the Texas Liquor Com Board in 1941, of which 20 vere county-wide o Results were as follows.
3 against prohibiting alcoholic beverages: Llano, McLennanp Shackelf'
1 against prohibiting beer: Somervell.
7 against legalizing beer: Anderson, Brown, Navarro, Ochlltree, San Augustine, Smith, Wheeler.
4 for prohibiting beer: Callahan, Jeff Davis, LiJDestone, Willacy" (In Limestone County election, official canvass of returns has been enjo:lned.
2 against legaliz inB 14~ beverages: Freestone, San Aueustine.
1 against legalizing all alcoholic beverages: Midland.
2 for prohibiting all alcoholic beverages: Crosby, "Whee1ero (The Croabl County election was a formality, legalizing the dry status which had ex1 for yearso)
