Brief about GTU Innovation Council:

GTU Innovation Council is one of the elite organizations of the nation for cultivating

multilayered Innovation Ecosystem. Through the efforts for creating culture of Innovation and

Entrepreneurship in 9 years, an aura of developing the ecosystem across the state was

conceptualized. We at GTU Innovation and Startup Center, are working to build the culture of

Innovation and Entrepreneurship since 2011. During our journey, many innovators have reached

to Growth Stage Startups and having few Incubation support systems where we are providing

end to end support to Innovators.

GTU is approved SSIP Grantee University by Education Department, Govt of Gujarat, Nodal

Institute for Startup Gujarat, Design Innovation Center supported by MHRD, Atal Incubation

Center approved by NITI Aayog and IP Facilitation Center supported by NRDC. Apart from this,

GTU is shortly announcing Technological Business Incubator supported by DST, Govt of India.

Our center is having basic facilities like Co-working Spaces, Center of Excellence, Industry

Mentors, collaboration with Incubators.

Till date, we have nearly 273+ Startups and 170+Mentors associated across Gujarat through our

Regional Innovation and Startup Centers at Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara since 2017.

Because of the determined efforts and traction of GTU Innovation Council Team and Incubatee,

the Incubation Center has been renovated, adding space of one floor so that more and more new

Startup companies can be accommodated.

The culture at GIC is to gather like-minded Technocrats and Startup enthusiasts through events,

workshops, expert sessions, sensitization programs, community engagement and other unique

efforts revolving around Innovation and Entrepreneurship.




To motivate budding entrepreneurs and bless us on the auspicious day of Dhanteras, 25th

October

2019, Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Hon’ble Education Minister, Government of Gujarat

was invited as a Chief Guest for the inauguration of GTU Innovation & Startup Center,

Incubation Center.

Few successful startups displayed their products and interacted with Hon’ble Education Minister

and got feedback regarding future plan for their respective venture. Some of the startups who are

into Astronomy and AR/VR gave live demo of their product to the invited guests. The startups

got amazing response and appreciation from Shri. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.




GTU Motorsports team was appreciated by

our Hon’ble Education Minister for

maintaining the 1st rank last year and blessed

with well wishes for the upcoming

competition.




There was half an hour get to together where Dr. K N Kher, Registrar sir gave welcoming

address followed by highlights of GTU Innovation & Startup Center by Mr. Tushar Panchal,

Incubation Manager, GISC. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Shri. Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth sir

congratulated all innovators for doing excellent in their ventures. The session was concluded by

Dr. Chandan Chatterjee sir, CEO, AIC-GISC Foundation with few important traits for being

successful with a startup.
