General

Information

Located in Southeast Asia, Vietnam is a beautiful and peacefulcountry, with the 4000-year-old culture and proud history. AlthoughVietnam experienced many painfully historical events such as:invasion, wars to gain independence, Vietnamese people still

maintain their own cultural identities such as Tet Holiday, ancientcustoms, etc. Nowaday, due to global integration, Vietnamese youthneed to have more understanding about national values, namelynational pride, local cuisines, folklores and so on. Besides, globalmindset, international cultural understanding and essential soft-skillsare also the alert issues to adapt to the international environment.

AIESEC Danang, with the vision of peace and fulfillment ofhumankind's potential, is doing our best to improve the situation.Coming up with the initiative of educating Danang youth aboutsociety, culture… in a global experience perspective, following thesuccess of previous projects (40 Days Advance Yourself, Vietnam 3D, UP

Camp, Global Passport 1,2,3 ;Zero Plus, MASK…).

AIESEC Danang proudly introduces iNature Camp, with our belief to make a positive change in

our society by making impact on the youth through our learning events and environmental campaigns

ProjectObjectives

CLIMATE CHANGE – currently one of top 5

worldwide environmental issues – is playing extremely bad influencesto the world in general and to Vietnam and Danang city in particular.

We aim to provide latest updates about CLIMATE CHANGE to raiseself awareness as well as acknowledgement about this issue instudents aged between 16 to 21. We also give them opportunities tocreate positive impacts on the society through practical experiences.

We strongly believe that with this promising project, we are going tomake everyone become CLIMATE CHANGE ambassadors whounderstand the current situation, the global and local consequencesof this environmental issue and have the style of living forenvironment, sufficient skills, growth mindsets so that everyone canpromote sense of community. Together we can solve thisenvironmental issue and have a better life afterwards – sustainable

development .

Activities

These activities are built with the aim ofproviding useful knowledge, informationas well as all latest updates aboutCLIMATE CHANGE in around the world,especially in Vietnam and Danang city;creating a dynamic, friendly and globalenvironment for youth to work in andimplement their ideas to solve thoseenvironmental issues; developingnecessary soft skills and global mindset;exchanging cultural experiences tounderstand more about the currentsituations of CLIMATE CHANGE in othercountries practically; experiencing solvingenvironmental problems in local;enhancing multicultural understandingamong attendees and interns.

DESCRIPTIONS

Welcoming our interns - important stakeholders of

the project - we aim to provide them with amazing

experience about the global learning environment,

personal self-development, valuable lessons fromour learning partners and the chance to interact

with Vietnamese students. Interns will be granted

responsibility and join the project with us as an

official member of our team to make the project

successful.

JOB

DESCRIPTIONS

Work together with content manager and other interns to build agenda and detailed content for projectevents. Communicate with main stakeholders (facilitators, event manager, chair) about detailed content inproject events.

Facilitate & fulfill the sessions based on the designed content in the Camp together with other interns.

Be a leader in a team with Vietnamese students to develop & implement ideas of solving environmental issueseffectively, to fulfill tasks & challenges given by the Organizing Committee (OC)

Work as a team with other interns and the OC to fulfill the tasks. And actively communicate with interns fromother projects to share experiences and learn from them.

Cooperate with OC to develop attendees ’abilities, keep track their performance and support them ifnecessary.

Take part in AIESEC Integration events, trainings from learning partners, EP LEAD program. Attend internal andexternal meetings related to the project.

Be a promoter to promote an exchange product. Represent your culture to Vietnamese youth: participants,AIESEC members, participants of other AIESEC activities.

introduction Danang is Vietnam’s fourth-largest city, situated in the centralregion and one of the country's most important ports. FromDanang City, it takes only 30 minutes to arrive Hoi An AncientTown and travel to Hanoi Capital, Ho Chi Minh City so fast andeasy.

Cham Museum: Established by French archaeologistsin 1936, the Cham Museum houses the world's finestcollection of Cham art. Many of the statues, sculpturesand reliefs were discovered at nearby My Son, a formerancient capital of the Cham and now a UNESCOdesignated World Heritage site.

o Marble Mountains: The Marble Mountains arerocky limestone outcrops jutting out of thebeach just south of Danang. It has a lot of thebeautiful caves and when we climb to the top ofthis mountain we can see the whole DanangCity. Today, the Marble Mountains are home tovarious artisans producing sculpture andartwork at its base.

o Hoi An Ancient Town: Listed as an UNESCO WorldHeritage Site, Hoi An is a quaint city with river

flowing beside the streets. Most travelers will rateHoi An close to the top of their list of places tovisit in Vietnam. It’s truly an ancient place of

surprising beauty and marvel.

Bana Hills: Bana Hills has long been considered almostheavenly thanks to the temperate climate with four seasonswithin a single day, unspoiled forest and a spectacular viewof Danang. This Bana telpher system named in GuinnessWorld Records. The four world records are: the longestsingle-wire cable car system (5,771.61 m), the highestdifference between the departure and arrival terminals(1,368.93 m), the longest non-stop cable (11,587 m), andthe heaviest cable roll (141.24 tonnes).

o Danang Beaches: There are some beautiful

beaches with white sand stretches and it is

renowned for both its spectacular beauty .

Nowadays, the beach is home to luxurious resorts,

surfing and entertainment facilities.

Food & culture

Pho – Rice Noodle soup: No matter what time day ornight, a steaming bowl of pho noodle soup has neverbeen hard to find in Vietnam. Pho is a Vietnamesenational dish with pride all over the world.

Quang Noodle: Quang noodle soups differ than mostnormal noodle soups in that the soups have justenough broth to barely cover the noodles.

Vietnamese baguette: “ Banh mi ” is another ofVietnam’s staple street foods generally found sold insmall, street side stalls. It appears as one of themost delicious street food in the world by TheGuardian.

Crepe Wrap (Banh Xeo): Banh Xeo is a crisp, savorycrepe which often comes served stuffed with cookedmeats, bean sprouts and fresh herbs. This stuffedcrepes are then wrapped again in sheets of lettucewith an optional added garnishing of basil, mint andmustard leaves.

Street food: This is the favorite and popular food ofstudents and teenagers in Danang. It’s so cheap andtasty.

Lantern Traditional Culture: Lanterns have become traditional things in Vietnamese Culture and they

are especially used to decorate and for other

purposes in Hoi An Ancient Town.
