What we do
Environmental benefits
• CO2 reduction due to re-mining
– Values: CO2 (in ton) per ton of produced metals
– Mining (primary) versus Re-Mining (secondary)
Data: Fraunhofer Institute – Christian Hageluken
Copper Aluminum
Challenges in recycling incinerator ash
Convert ash into raw materials
1. Recovery of fine non ferrous metals (> 0,7 mm)
2. Reuse ash minerals in alternative markets (NL – Greendeal - non IBC)
3. Decrease carbon footprint for WtE facilities
Ash is material which difficult to handle material due to
• Wet de-slagging at WtE facility
– This makes the ash stick together tightly
– Embedded fine NF particles are hidden in clogged minerals
Market challenge
• How to effectively handle the fine (most valuable) fraction
Inashco’s Advanced Dry Recovery technology is key toeffective separation of fine fraction.
Unique features of ADR- Ballistic separation
• Splits off the fine wet & sticky fraction
Fine ash minerals ADR Concentrate Clean ECS belt
• Frees the finest metal particles (> 0,7 mm) and concentrates all fine metal particles into ADR concentrate (coarse fraction) based on weight & shape
• ADR concentrate is now rich in metal and easy to handle
– Optimal performance of ECS and maximized recovery of the metals
