UNIT DESCRIPTIONThe ductable air treatment units are available in 2 versions and 7 sizes. Units are extremely suitable for small centralized conditioning systems connected by a small ducting network. The small height of these units, make them the convenient solution for false ceiling installation.

VERSIONS

STANDARD UNIT COMPOSITION

Structure

INALTO - STANDARD VERSIONMade of galvanized steel, it is insulated in all parts in direct contact with the conditioned air. Insulated condensate tray made of galvanised steel, complete with drain plug for complete drainage. Ceiling-anchoring slots for easy fi xing and levelling of the unit.

INALTO DS - DOUBLE SKIN VERSIONDouble skin panels 15 mm thickness in galvanized steel inside and in white pre-painted galvanized steel outside. Thermal and sound insulation with 35 kg/m3 density mineral wool.

Fan groupDouble-inlet centrifugal fans with statically and dynamically balanced horizontally-oriented aluminium impellers. Single-phase asynchronous electric motor with overload cutout. 6 speeds of rotation (3 connected) or EC motor. The motor is directly coupled to the fans and cushioned with fl exible mountings to ensure low noise.

Air fi lterFiltering Polyester fabric enclosed within a metal frame to facilitate withdrawal and cleaning. Filtering rate of the standard model: EU3.Available with different fi ltering rate and thikness on request.

CoilCoils are made of copper pipe expanded into aluminium fi ns.Copper headers with male fi ttings (GAS threads) and easily accessible air vents.The water connections are located on the left (looking at the air outlet). On request, the water connections can be placed on the right side of the unit

MATTER OF SAVING AND RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

The INALTO series can also be equipped with an innovative brushless synchronous motor controlled by a dedicated inverter board, which allows to modulate with accurate precision, the speed of the fan limiting the energy supply to the actual workload required, without unnecessary waste.Compared to a unit with traditional asynchronous motor, the EC motor ensures an exceptional reduction of energy consumption by more than 75%, even during the operation at low rpm.As well as bringing considerable savings in economic terms and relative decrease of CO2 emissions in the environment, the series with EC motor is able to signifi cantly improve the environmental comfort through constant modulation in air fl ow rate, with the benefi t of an immediate and precise achievement of the thermal load required by the user and its maintenance throughout the day and greater noiselessness guaranteed by a targeted management of the number of revolutions.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

In the EC motor the permanent magnet is secured to the crankshaft (motor), andthe windings instead are fi xed on the outer structure called the stator.The EC motors control board, with an appropriate electronic modulation of the voltage signals on the different windings, allows to create a rotating magnetic fi eld that induces the motor in motion.A series of sensors provides the adjustment board the motor position, according to which this provides to electronically change the power on the windings, so as to correctly arrange the rotating magnetic fi eld.For this reason the EC motor is also defi ned Brushless, that is devoid of brushes: the ECM motor is not equipped with brushes and collector as instead are the DC motors.

LOOKING AT THE FUTURE

By this type of fan motors, the users can be personalise the speeds according to their request, by means of any control which can easily be designed.This opens a new perspective to room air conditioning. In fact the fan coil manufacturer can program valves, motors and clutches by menas of the same logic, with the result that the fi nal user can get an optimised system of room conditioning with a low CO2 impact.By using these type of motors, it is possible to satisfy the requirements of the “ecodesign” prescriptions suggested by Eurovent and is also in line with the future requirements, given a lower input power demand.

GENERAL FEATURES

EC motors are completely interchangeable with those of the already well known motors. Mechanical structure and cradles are in fact the same and the only difference is having replaced the transfomer with the electronic control case.Moreover, these motors have been designed to give a performance similar to the standard ones, but with the possibility of being used with a 0-10V control..
