APRIL 2020

Welcome to our first edition of ‘IN TOUCH’. We wanted to ensure our valued members are kept in the loop about everything that is happening to your Club in this unusual period of time. Our members are what make our Club, so it is important that you, the reader of this publication, stay connected and aware of what we are working on.

Rest assured that your favourite staff members are being taken care of. Most staff have and will continue to be employed by the Club with 99% of the team continuing their employment by using their holiday leave

entitlements. We have also utilised staff in numerous ways by conducting essential services such as caretaking, sanitisation, and revamping many areas of the Club. We have made a conscious effort to use this time to freshen up amenities by working on hard to reach areas such as gaming machine bases.

Our plan on refreshing the Club involves a massive overhaul of major components such as the air conditions units, lift equipment, electrical service boards and bucket loads of paint. We are aiming to refurbish parts of the Club that needed a bit

of TLC (Tender Loving Care) to ensure the Club can brighten up your day each time you visit. Our Club and its members are resilient and we are very much looking forward to having you back, and providing you with clean facilities In this time of uncertainty, I hope that all of you are coping well, and that your families are safe and healthy. Normality will return.

Stay safe.

KEEPING UNWANTED GUESTS AWAY

Here we have Fred Mastroianni from Rentokil Pest Control. He is on early watch for the Club, starting at 4am, ensuring we don’t get any unwanted guests. Fred lives locally and has been doing our service for some time. He has an enormous passion for his job and is determined and proud to keep his favourite venue in tip top shape.

As for other unwanted guests, we also have team members on-site 24/7, to make sure the Club is kept secure.

OUTDOOR WORKS

Pictured on the left is John who works for one of our contractors C&KK Cleaning with our Customer Service Manager Jo helping out. John keeps our lawns looking immaculate each week. He also mows and whipper snips weekly in the gardens in Signatures Buffet, across Military Road behind the parking bays of the railway, Memorial garden, and the nature strip along Miller Street.

Other than the garden areas, we also have done roof maintenance with the help of Craig who also works for our other contractor WP.

IN-CLUB MAINTENANCE

This quiet period has also allowed us to get going with some paint jobs throughout, as well as some of the electrical works required in the Club.

We have also taken this opportunity to do necessary maintenance jobs while the Club is closed to the public. This includes a massive overhaul of major components such as the air conditioning units and the lifts.

KEEPING BUSY

Even though the club is closed, we still want to make sure the Club is in tip top shape for when we open our doors again. That’s why we’ve been keeping some of our staff busy with lots of cleaning and sanitisation within the Club.

On the left, you’ll see the familiar faces of some of our wonderful staff including Helen, Jacob, and Annie while in action. Other team members are not pictured but have also been extremely helpful in keeping the Club and its facilities clean and sparkling as we prepare with great anticipation to welcome you back.

Some of our staff including Senior Managers Chris & David have been busy cleaning all the machines on the gaming floor. Others team members are giving the kitchens, cool rooms, bar areas and facilities a deep clean and detail so your club is inviting and fresh for your return.

We think it’s important to keep the club in good shape, but we also think it’s good opportunity to keep our staff engaged during these times of uncertainties.
