Thrive Youth - Friday 4 April End of Term Break-Up. Kick off the holidays with a relaxing night of hanging out and talking about next term For more info email: [email protected]

Sunday Children’s Ministry Creche, GloGroup, Livewire and Voltage will be taking a break during the School Holidays (6, 13 & 20 April). Holidays are a good time for families to come and do church together. Activity packs are available for the children.

IMPORTANT! Our Church has many volunteers who do a multitude of tasks each week. Many of these tasks and people involved are listed on the Monthly Roster. It is the obligation of everyone named on the Roster to notify the appropriate person if they are unable to fulfil their tasks on a particular Sunday. Unfortunately, this is not always the case, and Off Stage Supervisors often have to find several people in a short time to fill the gaps. It is great that people offer to be on the Roster, but it is vital that they also fulfil their responsibilities. Volunteers are always needed. Please notify Janice in the Office if you would like to be added to the Serving Roster.

M5 - Music Ministry’s Monthly Monday Meeting Our music team meets on the first Monday of each month. Our next M5 is Monday 7 April. Bring your instruments, voices, Bible and your smile. New members are always welcome! If you have an interest in joining the music team, simply come along on the night, or speak to Sally Parker. If you are a member of the music team, and you’re unable to attend, please inform Sally on [email protected].

Women's Break Away - Friday nights (starting 4 April) 7.15pm - 8.45pm. So-cial coffee/cakes/drinks - Meet at the Lake View Hotel. No RSVP - just come if you can. Invite a friend.

Sunday Morning Prayer Come and pray for our church and the wider world. All welcome. Every Sunday 9am in the Prayer Room, off the admin area.

Palm Sunday - Special Service Sunday April 13th will have a slightly different format than usual, and will follow the theme “Jesus is King”. The children who have participated in the Creative Capers workshops will be taking a role in some aspects of the service. The usual 25 minute message will also be different. It will be replaced with a shorter message by Deb, our Associate Pastor, leading into communion. We expect the service to be a rich time of celebrating and worshiping our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We encourage you to invite family and friends, and enjoy some hot cross buns afterward. It will be a great start to Easter Week!

MOPS – Mothers of Preschoolers All mothers of children aged 0-5 are invited to come along to the one2one Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Group. Mums can enjoy some relaxing child-free time with other mums while they listen to guest speakers, chat, make something creative and eat yummy morning tea. Children have lots of fun participating in age appropriate activities in the MOPPETS program.

MOPS mornings for April are: Tuesday 22 April - 'Embracing Your Mess: Avoiding Mothering Com-parisons '.

All MOPS mornings are held at the church from 9:15-11:30am on alternate Tuesdays during school terms. $5 per mum - first visit is free. For more information, please contact the church office on 5334 1882 MOPPETS Carers Do you like working with young children? If you have some time available every second Tuesday morning (9.15-11.30am) and enjoy working with young children we would love you to be a part of the one2one MOPPETS carers team.

The MOPPETS program provides activities for children (0-5yrs) during the MOPS meetings every second Tuesday morning. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) provides time out, encouragement and support to mums and their families. MOPS would not happen without the support of the MOP-PETS carers. For MOPPETS to run smoothly in 2014 we need some new carers – and would love you to consider helping. Even if you are only available to help out during certain times of the year, or once a month, you could be a really valuable helper.

Kids Hope - Ballarat Special School Story of the Week

“Six weeks in” The mentors are starting to feel comfortable with the children and the children really look forward to their mentor hour. What a great program this is!!!!!!! The school is very supportive of the program. We are hoping to train more mentors next term as the teachers are asking if we have others out there who can mentor. Thankyou for your wonderful support. I would also like to say how good the mentor hour is, it is a great resource. If you or anyone you know would like to know more about becoming a mentor, please contact the church office on 5334 1882
