developed research programmes and lectured in Scotland's top universities, including the

University of St. Andrews. She brings this strong research and teaching background to the

Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Claire has been involved in delivering training to

Business Administration

If you want to establish a successful hypnotherapy practice which provides you with a

comfortable lifestyle, you need to understand the business side of things as well as the

therapy side.

Our Diploma in Hypnotherapy Business Administration (DHPA) covers everything you need

to know about setting up a thriving practice. You’ll learn about marketing, writing business

plans, book-keeping and creating a business which is competitive in today’s marketplace.

You’ll be able to display the DHPA logo on your website and marketing materials as a sign of

the additional training you have undertaken.

This course is completely free to AIM students

and can be completed online either during the

Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy or up to six

months after you have completed the Diploma.

In short, we’ve done everything we can to make sure that you feel part of a wider learning

community and have as much personal interaction as is right for you.

There are eight modules and we recommend that you take the time to really understand

each module fully before moving onto the next section of the course. There is a short test at

the end of each module which we ask you to complete and return. We then offer you

feedback and ensure that you’re fully engaging with and understanding the course material.

We’ll provide you with a reading list which will support and enhance your learning

experience.

We’ve designed this course so that you will have the practical skills necessary to work with

clients and set up a business.

Case studies & assignments At the end of each module, you will have a ‘Task Book’ where you can take notes and

journal your experience. You will be asked questions to direct your reading and learning.

These should not be submitted but will help you prepare for the final exam. Once you have

completed all eight modules you will be asked to complete an ‘open book’ exam (meaning

that you can study as you answer your questions). This must be completed in order to

qualify for your Professional Diploma in Hypnotherapy qualification.

To bring your experience in line with students who complete our Diploma in Clinical

Hypnotherapy, we now give you the opportunity to complete case studies. Case studies give

you the opportunity to work with real life people – friends or family – in order to practice

your skills and receive feedback for your work.

Completing a case study involves you working with your ‘client’ and applying techniques

you’ve learned during the course. You will then submit the written case study to your course

tutor for marking. Your course tutor will then set up a Skype tutorial to discuss your work in

detail.

Case studies are optional and they are a great way to build your confidence and develop

your skills set. On completion of 3 case studies and associated tutorials, you will earn a

‘Distinction’ in addition to your original certificate.

Module 1 You’ll be led through the hypnotherapy’s fascinating history before learning about the conscious & unconscious mind. You’ll learn about the role of the Autonomic Nervous System, Brainwaves & right & left brain hemispheres. You’ll also discover how to recognise when someone is in a state of hypnosis. You’ll receive your Welcome Pack, Video Presentation, an MP3 which allows you to experience hypnosis for yourself, a Hypnotherapy Dictionary e-book & a task workbook.

Module 2

You’ll make a start on the practical business of being a hypnotherapist and learn how to effectively lead people into a state of

hypnosis using inductions, deepen their trance state & bring them round. You’ll discover why some people are more or easily hypnotised than others and how to tailor your approach. You’ll also learn about contraindications as well as those issues for which hypnotherapy is most effective. You’ll receive Induction Scripts, Video Presentation & a task workbook.

Module 3 To ensure your hypnotherapeutic techniques work, you need to establish great rapport with your clients. You’ll learn everything from how to manage your client intake, to how to arrange your therapy space. You’ll learn to use the ‘miracle question’ with your client, how to future pace & set goals. You’ll receive Scripts, Video Presentation & task workbook.

Module 4 Smoking. Hypnotherapy has a proven track record in helping people quit for good & you’ll learn Parts Therapy. Some therapists specialise in this area. After this module you’ll have the skills to help

your clients stop. You’ll learn self-hypnosis to help your clients achieve results at home. You’ll learn how to use an incredible NLP technique – Anchoring – with your clients. You’ll receive Smoking Script, Video Presentation & protocols for Anchoring.

Module 5 Weight loss is one of the main areas which attract people to hypnotherapy. You’ll learn about the complexity of causes of obesity and how you can help your client with motivation, craving control & self-esteem. You’ll learn how work with your client’s distorted beliefs using CBT to help them lose weight & feel great. You’ll receive Weight Loss Scripts & MP3 recording, protocols for CBT work, Video Presentation & task workbook.

Module 6 Phobias can be cured in as little as a single hypnosis session. You’ll learn what causes phobias and how to use NLP Modalities & the

Fast Forward Phobia technique. You’ll learn about Regression & False Memory Syndrome. We’ll cover the ethical & legal considerations of hypnosis & how you can safely work with clients. You’ll receive protocols for Fast Forward Phobia and NLP, Regression Script, Video Presentation and task workbook.

Module 7

Self confidence & self esteem affects so many people & hypnosis can help bypass the conscious mind to improve people’s self confidence & belief. You’ll learn how to work with a client’s Inner Child to help resolve self-esteem issues. You’ll receive Self Confidence Scripts, Inner Child Protocol, Video Presentation & task work book.

Module 8

Public speaking & interview nerves can massively impact people’s lives and you’ll be provided with a protocol to help with these issues. You’ll learn about Ericksonian

hypnosis & indirect suggestion. You’ll learn more about ethics & professional protocols including when to inform your client’s GP that you’re working with them & when to signpost clients to other professionals. You’ll receive Interview/ Public Speaking Scripts, Video Presentation & GP contact form. You’ll also receive your final scripts book with and additional 75 pages of scripts!

Insurance It’s important to make sure you have public liability and indemnity insurance in order to practice safely with clients. This course qualifies for insurance with Towergate Insurance amongst other insurers.

Fees We offer the choice to study and pay on a module-by-module basis or to order and pay for the course as a single block. Pay-as-you-go Four payments of £115 One off payment If you prefer to pay for the course in full, the course fee is £399 VIP Option Our VIP option is for you if you’re really serious about becoming a hypnotherapist! It includes 3 Zoom one-to-one tutorials and post course supervision while you establish your business. VIP package is £599 We accept all major credit cards. All modules must be completed and a short exam submitted in order to qualify for your Diploma in Professional Hypnotherapy certification. Individual Tutorials If you wish to arrange additional support in the form of face-to-face or Skype tutorials, these are available for £50 per hour meeting. Case studies If you choose to submit case studies, these will be marked and discussed with you for an additional fee of £50 per case studies. Upon completion of 3 case studies you will qualify for a Distinction.
