OUR TOWNE - NOVEMBER 2015

Aaron Williams joined Towne Park two years ago seeking some extra part-time work over the summer.

By November of 2014, Aaron had left his other jobs to join Towne Park full time and was enrolled into the

GEAR UP program by his AM Pat Codd. The online curriculum was no obstacle to Aaron’s excitement, and

he completed the program within a week. The panel certification was conducted two weeks later, with

Aaron’s DM, District Talent Champion, and others in attendance.

GEAR UP gave me the tools to perfect my everyday duties

and most importantly helped build the foundation of my

leadership which is absolutely imperative to having a

successful team stand behind you... There is no better

feeling than knowing I have a team that will stand

together and prove time and time again that we can handle

anything that comes our way.

I believe ASCENT and the involvement of the district

leadership allowed me to build upon the foundation that

GEAR UP had established. After graduating from ASCENT I

truly knew I had the tools to successfully move on to the

next step.

Aaron made such an impression in this certification that he was identified

as a candidate for the Annapolis team’s first Ascent class of 2015, starting

just two months later. Aaron utilized his opportunities to learn and grow,

and was quickly promoted to AAM at the Gaylord National Harbor. Another

member of this Ascent class was Aaron’s backfill as lead GSC at the

Marriott, Mary Quinsler, who herself was later promoted to AAM in Baltimore!

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found a career path that has the growth

potential and culture of Towne Park. I have come a long way to get to where I am

now. I’ve held just about every job title you can think of. I was constantly picking up

dead end jobs trying to find my way, but I’ll never regret having any of those jobs

because they all led me to Towne Park and gave me the appreciation of how far I

have come in just a short time. I’d like to end with a huge shout out to all those who

saw the potential in me and dedicated time to help me grow, so thank you to Pat

Codd, Paul Goldsholl, Jeremy Smith, Scott Kitts, and the Annapolis and D.C. districts.

I cannot wait to see how far and where I go with the company!

OUR TOWNE - NOVEMBER 2015

Jesse Hall from the Kansas City district hasn’t taken long to show his value to the Towne Park team.

Jesse has been with Towne Park less than 90 days, but was able to make such an impression with his

leaders that he was quickly enrolled into GEAR UP after getting his feet under him with the basics of the

GSA role. “Despite being with us for such a short period of time, Jesse has already

established himself as one of our best workers and leaders” says AAM Sean Johnson-Darby.

Much like the very first graduate, Jesse joined Towne Park in a part-time role. His long term goals are

centered on owning his own real estate business, and programs like a GEAR UP have allowed Jesse to

grow and hone skills that may help him beyond Towne Park. In the meantime, Jesse keeps busy in his

free time playing and managing a semi-pro football team!
