In the villagesAs well as the Official Weddin Shire Australia Day celebrations in Taylor park

on Sunday morning January 26, The Villages of Caragabal Quandialla andGreenethorpe will have a program of events.

Caragabal Community will be holding a BBQ breakfast with an officialceremony commencing at 7.30am on the median strip, followed by a day ofyabbying.

The yabby weigh in will take place at the Royal Hotel Caragabal at 5.00pm.A BBQ dinner will follow.

Greenethorpe Community will host its third annual North v South of therailway line cricket match which will commence 9.30am with a free BBQ lunchat the Soldiers Memorial Hall, followed by official celebrations.

Quandialla Community BBQ and official celebrations commencing at6.30pm at the Bland Hotel followed by yabby races.

Weddin Shire Citizen of the Year in 2013 was Nancy McClelland, pictured herereceiving her award with Weddin Shire Mayor Mr Mark Liebich and 2013Ambassador Matthew Donovan.
