In the Transition Dr. Shane Garrison
Amazing Promises Worth Holding Onto Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Psalm 31:14 But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. Psalm 56:4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 91:2 I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Psalm 115:9 O Israel, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11 You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield. Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. Psalm 125:1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.
God’s Word gives us hope and promises that when we trust in God, we will see His plan clearly before. I am praying and holding these promises this week as we enter our time this weekend. Will you pray through these passages and ask God to speak through His Word to you?

Bottles of Blessing Fundraiser Your CHANGE can change lives in Central Kentucky
With your help, Haven Care Center/Pregnancy Resource in Danville, will
continue to provide much needed love and support to those facing
unplanned pregnancies in: Mercer, Boyle, Garrard, and Lincoln counties.
Beginning Sunday, Feb. 1 you will have the opportunity to take a baby
bottle (or two) home. Please save your spare change in the bottle, and
return the bottle to church before or on February 15th
. All donations are
tax deductible.
I feel like Haven Care's Bottle Fundraiser is a great way for
people in our community to reach out to the ones in need. With just our
everyday pocket change we can help provide diapers, blankets, formulas,
and even help pay for some appointments for young women who are
expecting. This is a great fundraiser and very easy. Please take a bottle
or two and help out the people in and around our community.
--Logan Godbey
(Logan is serving as the SBC student/youth representative for this
fundraising event.)

Musically Speaking
Stuart Underwood, Minister of Music
Thanks to Patricia and the Handbells for a beautiful job on our offertory. This was a piece that they had ready for Christmas and didn't get to use- now they have used it! The Adult Choir also did a wonderful job on "Everything" for their special music. This Sunday is a BIG day in the life of SBC. We will be hearing Nick and meeting him and his family. Let me encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities of this weekend. The offertory will be played by Becky Stogsdill and Laura Lee Wesley. The Adult Choir (at the request of the Pastor Search Committee) will be singing one of our favorite anthems, "We Have Come this Far by Faith". The evening service will be led by the Campbellsville University Life Team. Have a great week! Stuart
