Introduction

Secretariat of International Petrochemical Conference 2017 has been established with the aim of exchanging views on the relevant subjects, focusing on up-to-date domestic issues facing petrochemical industry as well as concentrating on activities of industries related to the petrochemical arena. This permanent Secretariat will launch its activity annually, focusing on modern-day do-mestic and foreign issues which can be expanded and overgeneralized in the petrochem-ical industry. In other words, the Secretariat will follow up both domestic and foreign subjects in petrochemical industry meticulously. Establishing very close relationship with the world’s most prestigious petrochemical ac-tivists, taking advantage of most modern technologies in this field, reflecting investment opportunities in Iran and also introducing foreign investors are considered as main poli-cies and topics in this Conference.

1. Introducing high capabilities and potentials of Iran’s petrochemical indus-try in international arenas, 2. Promoting and boosting level of international cooperation in petrochem-ical field, 3. Identifying and transferring modern technologies in petrochemical industry, 4. Identifying and creating new markets of petrochemical products in the world, 5. Reflecting investment opportunities to the foreign investors, 6. Establishing interaction in petrochemical industry with the Islamic Con-sultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament also called Majlis) for removing le-

gal barriers and/or imposing supportive rules and regulations,

Interacting with country’s insurance, banking and monetary system for establishing very effective and constructive relationship in line with imple-mentation of petrochemical projects in cooperation with foreign investors, 8. Basis of Conference

The basis of this prestigious Conference is as follows: 1. Policymaking Council: The Policymaking Council is tasked with determining macro policies of the Conference. The Policymaking Council is composed of: policymaking organizations and institutions involved in petrochemical industry. The Policymaking Council is monitored under the strict supervision of the oil minister. 2. Secretary of Seminar: The Secretary of Conference is determined at the proposal of Policymaking Council and with the majority of its members unanimously. In addition, Secretary of the Conference is appointed by the secre-tary of the Council. 3. Scientific Committee: The Scientific Committee is responsible for compiling and formulating scientific policies of the Conference in the field of modern technologies, economic methods, financial models and knowledge-based interactions of the Conference. Compiling and formulating final resolution of the Conference shall be borne by the Scientific Committee under the strict supervision of other Committees. 4. International Committee: International Committee is responsible for establishing relationship with the industries related to the petrochemical sector in international arenas. Inviting foreign dignitaries and scientific-industrial fig-ures related to the topic of the Conference shall be borne by the International Committee. 5. Executive Committee: The Executive Committee of the Conference is responsible for fulfilling all activities related to the implementation of Conference in the fields of Secretariat, Logistics, Ceremonies, Public Relations and Media Affairs, etc. within the framework of stipulated rules and regulations. 6. Market Development Committee: Market Development Committee is responsible for conducting all activities related to the domestic and foreign financiers, taking advantage of capacities of the Conference in attraction of financial sponsors and enthusiasts willing to invest in petrochemical sector.
