What did the earth look like four million years ago? Who lived here? The Old Stone Age

began approximately 4.5 million years ago - the first human ancestors made their appearance on earth.

This is Ohrid Like - is considered to be the oldest continuously existing lake in Europe with an age of likely three to five million years. It is one of Europe's deepest and oldest lakes, preserving a unique aquatic ecosystem with more than 200 endemic species that is of worldwide importance.

The Neolithic Period is part of the late Stone Age. During the Neolithic Period people used stone tools, domesticated plants and animals, and lived in villages.

Look this is Kokino-Dated around 1800 BC, the Early Bronze Age, NASA declared it to be the fourth oldest observatory in the world. People used special stone markers to track the movement of the Sun and Moon on the eastern horizon.

This is Bay of the Bones (Ohrid Like) - prehistoric settlement on the water, dating back between 1200 and 700 BC. In ancient times, this settlement had 60 houses and was connected to the shore by the use of a movable bridge.
