Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation is one of the exciting new frontiers in women’s medicine! Genesis is proud to introduce Viveve in order to meet our female clients’ needs. Viveve uses infrared energy to create more vaginal collagen and to tighten the muscles in the vaginal wall. This results in an improvement in mild to moderate urinary incontinence, more vaginal lubrication and greater sensation during sexual intercourse.

Viveve is a pain-free, one-time treatment that takes about 45 minutes. There is no down time or pain after the procedure. The results take about 4 months to fully appreciate, although many women do notice improvement starting about two weeks after the treatment. The treatment is performed by the medical technicians (all of whom are female) here at Genesis.

Infrared energy is pulsed into the vaginal wall. This stimulates the muscles to tighten and the cells within the vagina to produce more collagen. A grounding pad is placed on the patient’s thigh and a small probe is put into the vagina. The probe is slowly rotated in a clock-wise direction and infrared pulses are distributed. With each pulse, gentle warmth is felt in the thigh due through the grounding pad. However, no heat or pain is felt within the vagina.
