In the industrial city, Jamshedpur in India with the increase of temperature in the atmosphere, the initiative for saving of water started in big way. Like every year , in the world water day , 22nd. March 2012, hundreds of programs were organized by various intuitions to involve thousands of citizen.

One big car rally was organized by JUSHCO ( a company of Tata Sons ) on the water conservation and traveled different part of the city to circulate hand bills on “ How to conserve water” and supplied contact phone number to contact in case of any misuse of water notice in the city and surrounding villages

An Effort to conserve drops to save Lives and Crops

In the Marin Drive area of the city , a large number of ladies of the difference classes of the society were invited by one political party and given different practical ways to save water drop by drop in the real life. We had deputed our representative from Jamhedpur Children Green Club and circulated printed “tips to save water in dally life”.

We, School students at Jamshedpur, India are on the way to spread message on Water conservation on world water day 2012.

We, school students also had participated in different programs and shared our views to save water. One Painting contest ( duration 90 min. ) for the school students was organized. Below are the two winning drawings of the contest.

A round 50 nos. schools of the city had taken their own agenda and initiatives to save water for future. Few had played drama and songs to spread message on the necessity of the water and ways for conservation.

In place of supply of boring water,Let us plan for aqua conservation,

for minimization of it’s consumption. Need to work jointly, hold the precious rain,To store it smartly, before it quickly drains .

In ponds, it’s store by villagersTo use through out the year.

But in the city, the God gifted rainMajority passes through it drains

In the World water day celebration at our school, “ Little flower School”, Jamshedpur, I had recited the below poem related to storing of water through rain water harvesting system and appreciated by school teachers and selected for publishing in next school souvenir.
