Muckross Park Hotel, located in the heart of Killarney National Park, �rst opened in 1795. Since then, the hotel has provided hospitality to generations of local and international guests. In 2006, the hotel was completely refurbished and extended to include a number of new dining locations such as Blue Pool Private Restaurant, Monk’s Lounge and The Valentia Suite. The hotel can offer special occasion dining in the renowned Yew Tree Restaurant and well known Major Colgan’s. Capacities range from 20 to 270 guests.

• Yew Tree Restaurant is the 5 star hotel’s main dining room, serving a variety of locally sourced menus. Awarded with many accolades since �rst opening in 2012, an ideal location to host your special occasion for up to 60 guests.

• The Victorian style Bourne Vincent Suite in the Original House can accommodate up to 40 guests. Recently refurbished, this dining room is full of character with a large chandelier, high ceiling and original �replace. Perfect for a private gathering.

• Blue Pool Dining Room is beside the main restaurant with capacity up to 60 guests. There is a modern tone and a choice of different table layouts. Ideal as a family lunch venue with menu options.

Major Colgan’s is a landmark pub located beside Muckross Park Hotel & Spa. The pub is a popular venue for family dining, group occasions and live entertainment.

Executive Chef John O’Leary, a native of Co. Kerry, leads our team of chefs at Muckross Park Hotel & Spa. John has a wealth of experience in the 5 star hotel and restaurant business. John has worked in other 5 star hotels such as The Merrion Hotel and The Intercontinental in Dublin. He has worked at the 2 Michelin star Patrick Guibauds Restaurant and Stephen Gibson’s Pichet Restaurant. John’s philosophy is carefully crafted dishes focus on seasonal, quality ingredients. His attention to detail on presentation and using simple ingredients is evident in the superb dishes created.You can sample John’s menu in Yew Tree Restaurant and he has created a very unique Wild Atlantic Way menu. His hand selected ingredients are sourced from suppliers on the 2,500 km route which runs along the West coast of Ireland.
