Miss Ann Riggs Graduates from Vassar College

Miss Ann Gaylord Riggs, daugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs Gaylord Riggs, 418 W. Water Street, Elmira,, re­ceived the degree of Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College Sunday. She was a member of a group of 37 students who completed their college course" this "month, at the end of the second term.

Miss Riggs majored in music. She was prepared for college at the Elmira Free Academy and at­tended Elmira College for a year.

Ithaca Girl Wed in Elmira

Mrs Helen Rorick Wheeler, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Rorick, 216 S. Cayuta St , Ithaca, became the bride of Marvin Brewer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Brewer of Newfleld, Friday, Apr. 18, 1947.

The ceremony was performed at the home of * the bride's grand­father, Edward Rorick, 722 Hop­kins St , Elmira. The Rev. Her­bert Gordon of Riverside Meth­odist Church officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Free-love of Ithaca were the attendants. The bride wore a street length dress of acqua crepe with brown accessories and a corsage of white roses and baby's breath. Her at­tendant wore dusty rose with s corsage of talisman roses.

After a short wedding trip, Mr. and, Mrs. Brewer will reside in Ithaca.
