Arthur Guy Empey i Vitagraph's master production, "Over the Top." . in M. P. No. 1} "OVER THE TOP" AT THE LABOR TEMPLE JULY 3, .4, and 5. Perhaps the best function of the picture "Over the Top" which will be shown at the Labor Temple on the above dates is that it answers the ea- ger questions propounded by anxious mothers about the war. "What is the war like?" they ask Sergt. Arthur Guy Empey, who had the picture made from his book of the same title. "Do tell us all about the war,"., these good women by the hundreds have written to the intrepid hero. His invariable answer is, "See the pic- ture made froia my book. The Vita- graph people have caught the spirit of my narrative till naught remains to tell henceforth in words. The pic- ture carries the story and thrusts home the message." It appears that under «the ser >f tl part of the narrative even more con- vincing than Empey's written words. And these incidents are all calculat- ed to inculcate the lessons of self-re- liance, unquestioning obdience to or- ders of superiors, care of the body, regulation of the mind and other high and mighty attributes which transform the American youth of peace Into the bravest, mightiest sol- diery tie world has ever seen. "War," says tljie sergeaut-hero, "is the best cure I know of* for laziness, and the kind of fun in the trenches and on the battlefield that is mixed with the dangers and the hardships, clears the brain and steels the constitution." "Over the Top" at the Labor Temple will show these things in vivid en- vironment. Actual conditions over- seas never before have had such a complete replication. "OVER THE TOP" AT THE LABOR TEMPLE JULY 3, .4, and 5.

Perhaps the best function of the picture "Over the Top" which will be shown at the Labor Temple on the above dates is that it answers the eager questions propounded by anxious mothers about the war. "What is the war l ike?" they ask Sergt. Arthur Guy Empey, who had the picture made from his book of the same title. "Do tell us all about the war,"., these good women by the hundreds have written to the intrepid hero. His invariable answer is, "See the picture made froia my book. The Vita-graph people have caught the spirit of my narrative till naught remains to tell henceforth in words. The picture carries the story and thrusts home the message."

It appears that under «the ser

>f tl part of the narrative even more convincing than Empey's written words. And these incidents are all calculated to inculcate the lessons of self-reliance, unquestioning obdience to orders of superiors, care of the body, regulation of the mind and other high and mighty attributes which transform the American youth of peace Into the bravest, mightiest soldiery t i e world has ever seen. "War," says tljie sergeaut-hero, "is the best cure I know of* for laziness, and the kind of fun in the trenches and on the battlefield that is mixed with the dangers and the hardships, clears the brain and steels the constitution." "Over the Top" at the Labor Temple will show these things in vivid environment. Actual conditions overseas never before have had such a complete replication. The picture will be shown on 3 days, July 3, 4 and 5. . M. ,, , - , . h M , frnm 1 tO 1 1 P.
