• August 20, 1999 – Standards exposed for comment

• January 23, 2004 – BEAC signs agreement with the American Chemistry Council (ACC) for Responsible Care® certification using the BEAC Management System exam

• February 12, 2004 – BEAC certification is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards

• June 8, 2007 – BEAC holds its first exam outside of the United States
