Message from President and Chairman

I am really excited to inform you that CVR continues to attract the best students and faculty, the key pillars of any premier educational institution. As the number of engineering colleges in AP went past 700 during 2012-13 we looked at what we have accomplished - CVR was awarded the highest rating of “AAA” by Careers360 among all the private colleges in AP, similar to decades old institutions. While we are very pleased and thrilled with the developments at CVR over the past twelve years, we are not resting on our laurels but continuing to work hard in making CVR one of the premier technical institutions in the State. It gives me immense pleasure in informing you that CVR was ranked as the 8th best co-educational college among all colleges in Osmania University area during EAMCET-2012 counseling. It is the expectation of the academic community that CVR is on the successful path to be in the TOP-5 amongst all colleges in OU area in the next year or two.

I am also very pleased to inform you that the 9th batch of CVR has successfully completed and the placement activity continues to exceed any of our expectations. CVR has the highest pass percentage among 300+ co-educational colleges affiliated to JNTUH for three semester examinations in a row. The students of the college garnered highest placements statewide in numerous companies of repute like TCS, ADP, Syntel, L&T, Oracle, Robert Bosch, Infosys, Commscope, Polycom, Tally Solutions, etc,. with half a dozen students getting offers of > Rs. 6 Lakhs.

CVR has the unique distinction of having two former Deans of Engineering from OU and a Rector from JNTU. CVR is the only college in the entire state of AP (among colleges less than 15 years old) to have obtained NBA accreditation for the second time.

It gives me immense pleasure in informing you that Prof. LVAR Sarma, former Professor and Director, School of Information Technology, JNTU Hyderabad and former Convener EAMCET for 6 years has joined the college as Principal from January 2013. I am very happy to inform you that most of the Senior Faculty, including our Director, Deans and Principal, continue to be associated with the College. The College also has a record number of Associate Professors. We are very excited to have dedicated academicians who share our vision and passion to be part of our institution.

We invite you and your parents to visit the campus of CVR College of Engineering and look at its infrastructure, learn about its faculty, etc., before you decide which college to pursue your engineering degree course. I am sure you will be excited to join CVR College of Engineering.

We have great promoters, best-of-class infrastructure, top-class faculty and are providing the best possible education. This is history in the making, so join us in making CVR College of Engineering a pre-eminent technical institute in the State.

“I was a Computer Science student. All my core subjects were handled effectively in the right way. This will be useful to me throughout my career in software field.”

- S Nagarjuna (2004-08, CSE)

“It’s very evident that spoon-feeding doesn’t work in a competitive corporate world. CVR acquainted us to the corporate style. We were asked to do projects on our own. Pressure started to mount up during those days. But now when I recall those days, I end up realizing that working under pressure is a normal thing in this modern era; especially due to the springing up competition. That made me technically sound and competent. When I look back, I know that CVR made me a man, a person who can face the world.”

- Karthik Navuluri (2006-10, CSE)

“The intensive teaching and strictness in CVR, imparted some discipline into us. Moreover, everyone was so engrossed in improving themselves; that they tend to forget the rest of the stuff. CVR gets people from different backgrounds, but what binds them all is their zeal to excel in life.”

- Rajesh Chandra (2005-09, EEE)

“My focus was just more than good marks. CVR offered its students a plethora of opportunities to make use of and excel as an all-rounder. I was able to strengthen my positives and do away with my negatives. The experience will stay with me for a lifetime.”

- Chaitanya Topali (2004-08, EIE)

“CVR honed my skills besides giving roots to my reading approaches. The dedicated faculty brought the best out of me by clearing classroom doubts and helped me minimize my mistakes during the lab sessions. The competition was also quite intense which made the students to be enthusiastic and managed to keep the tempo up.”

- Anita Sistla (2003-07, IT)

“On the verge of entering the hallowed portals of University of California, I look back at my life at CVR. The 4 years journey in CVR really helped me in settling my nerves and helped me gain enormous confidence. The importance of classes and labs cannot be overemphasized. I owe a great deal to CVR.”

- Karthik Reddy Malasani (2004-08, ECE)
