AOC Anti-Blue-Light TechnologyExposure to blue light with wavelengths under 455nm is hazardous to the eyes. Innovative AOC technology shifts the shortwave blue light peak from 444nm to 460nm. This results in over 90% reduction in eye-damaging blue light with little to no effect on display brightness and color versus other solutions which dim or yellow the screen.

Most LED monitors use PWM (pulse width modulation) to control brightness; the pulsing creates flicker that may cause discomfort, headaches and eye strain, especially in low-light environments. Flicker Free technology uses a smooth DC (direct current) backlight system.
