George Lee Wyche was born on September 30,1952, in Harlem,New York to the late Beaufort and Geneva Wyche. He graduatedfrom Louis D. Brandise High School. He went on to attendManhattan Community College where he received his associatesdegree.

George worked for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New Yorkfor twenty years.

On January 28, 2013 George was called to Heaven to join hismother and father and his two brothers, (James and Johnnie Wyche).

He leaves to cherish in his memory: three brothers, William, HenryWyche of New York and Robert Wyche of Houston, Texas; onesister, Barbara Jean Carey of Philadelphia, PA one uncle, JamesWyche of North Carolina; one aunt, Dorothy Wyche of NorthCarolina; one sister-in-law, Cynthia Wyche of Houston Texas; anephew, Robert Wyche of Houston, Texas; two nieces, RosalindWyche of Houston, Texas and Raquel Wyche Watley of Sanger,Texas; a niece-in-law, Rejena Wyche of Houston, Texas; a nephew-in-law, Jeremy Watley of Sanger, Texas; a great-niece JaylenWatley of Sanger, Texas; special friends, Katie and Penny Givensof New York City and Carolyn Wyche of Las Vegas, NV; and a hostof nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

When Tomorrow Starts Without MeWhen tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not there to see ifthe sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears forme. I wish so much you wouldn’t cry, the way you did today,while thinking of the many things, we didn’t get to say. But whentomorrow starts without me, please try to understand that anangel came and called my name, and took me by the hand andsaid, “my place was ready, in heaven far above and that I’dhave to leave behind, all those I dearly love.” But when Iwalked through heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home. WhenGod looked down and smiled at me, from His great goldenthrone. He said “This is eternity, and all I’ve promised you.”Today for life on earth is past, but here it starts anew. Ipromise no tomorrow, for today will always last. And sinceeach day’s the same way, there’s no longing for the past. Sowhen tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re farapart. For every time you think of me, I’m right here in yourheart.
