Dear brothers and sisters, I hope and pray that you and your family are doing as well as can be during this health crisis. It is a time of testing and trials, and we may wonder if the Lord is with us or not. It is as if we are living through the Exodus of the Israelites (they questioned also), or tossing in a boat on stormy seas, like the disciples, while Jesus sleeps, or facing death as Mary and Martha did in the Gospel this weekend. Remember that the Lord is with us, not just during tribulation but until the end of time and beyond. It is a temptation to look into ourselves and be cowed by fear and uncertainly. We are people of faith and should look for the Lord during these times and how best to take care of those around us. If we pay attention and pray, we will see the glory of God getting us through. Like the blind man in last week’s readings, Lazarus represents all humanity. He stands for the dead man” for all those Jesus loves and wants to liberate from the bands of sin and death. Like the man born blind, Lazarusdeath is used by Jesus to reveal the glory of God.And again, like last week, Jesuswords and deeds give sight to those who believe. If we believe, we will see that Jesus loves each of us, as He loved Lazarus, and that He calls us out of death and into a new life. By His Resurrection, Jesus has fulfilled Ezekiels promise in todays First Reading. He has opened the graves that we may rise, put His Spirit in us that we may live. Faith is the key. If we believe as Martha does in todays Gospelthat Jesus is the resurrection and the lifeeven if we die, we will live. I have promised, and I will do it,God assures us. Dear brothers and sisters, I hope and pray that you and your family

are doing as well as can be during this health crisis.

Like the blind man in last week’ s readings, Lazarus represents all humanity. He stands for the “dead man” for all those Jesus loves and wants to liberate from the bands of sin and death. Like the man born blind, Lazarus’ death is used by Jesus to reveal “ the glory of God.” And again, like last week, Jesus’ words and deeds give sight to those who believe. If we believe, we will see that Jesus loves each of us, as He loved Lazarus, and that He calls us out of death and into a new life. By His Resurrection, Jesus has fulfilled Ezekiel’s promise in today’s First Reading. He has opened the graves that we may rise, put His Spirit in us that we may live. Faith is the key. If we believe as Martha does in today’ s Gospel— that Jesus is the resurrection and the life— even if we die, we will live. “I have promised, and I will do it,” God assures us. Let us say together, “Jesus, I trust in you.”

Yours in Christ, Fr. Vincent

PARISH OFFICE AND CHURCH CLOSED

The parish is observing the recommended emergency shelter in place policy for the next several days. We hope to be back to regular

operating hours sometime in April. You can stay connected via our app, website, or Facebook.

Donations During the Health Emergency

With all the closures and restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic, some of you may be concerned about how to make your donations. The Archdiocese has set up a giving page for online donations, that will be active starting March 21 (see the link below). Each parish will be listed in a drop-down menu and your donation will be sent to the selected parish account. Alternatively, you can mail a check or draft from your bank for your weekly/monthly tithing directly to St. Albert Church. For safety reasons please do not send cash through the mail or deposit donations in the church mailbox. Thank you for your consideration and generosity during these times. We pray for a speedy end to this pandemic, and may God bless us all.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

Padre Vicente
