James Dixon Dunbar wasborn October 3, 1928, toO.D. and Ella (Black)Dunbar at Huron. He wasthe fourth of four childrenand their only son. Jimgraduated from Huron HighSchool in 1946, and laterfrom Dunwoody TechnicalInstitute.

Jim served in the UnitedStates Army in Japan after World War II, and wasan electrical contractor and electrical inspector,residing in Huron for almost all of his years.

On March 27,1949, Jim married Ilene Rundquistat Huron.

In years past, he was active in trapshooting,pheasant hunting, and even a little golf. Jim was amember of the First Presbyterian Church, the NRA,VFW, Huron Masonic Lodge, and the Huron AreaAntique Power Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; hiswife of 63 years, Ilene who died May 5, 2012; andtwo sisters, Jean and Betty.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his sonand daughter-in-law, David and Susanna Dunbar ofMcKinney, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law,Jean and Mark Kool of Fairfield, Iowa; nine grand-children, Hannah, Jason, Kyle, Sarah, Ruth, Elijah,Rebekah, Noah, and Isaiah; and one sister, DorotheaMcGhee of Walnut Creek, California.

We praise you for those dear to us andespecially we thank you for Jim Dunbar, whom youhave now received into your presence. Help us tobelieve where we have not seen, trusting you to leadus through our years into your rest. Amen.
