A PANEL DISCUSSION
You’ll have the opportunity to hear first-hand experiences from the often unheard viewpoint of the adoptee, and increase your knowledge of how Catholic Social Services’ adoption support services can help your family.
Our facilitator will be Elizabeth Edington, MSSW, LSW, therapist, and adoption support services social worker at Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley (CSSMV).
Objectives include increasing your awareness and knowledge in three areas:
1. The adoption experience through the adoptee’s perspective
2. CSSMV’s adoption support services for families who have adopted children, who are in the process of adoption, or who are interested in adoption
3. Attachment therapy: SAFE counseling
Adoption affects each member of the adoption triad differently. At this event, a panel of adult adoptees from a variety of family backgrounds
will share their expertise based on their experiences.
