SympathyOur dear sister Helen Summers passed away Wednesday, September 8th. She would have been 96 on Tuesday, September 14th. There was a graveside service Saturday, September 11 at Mount Kenton Cemetery in Lone Oak.

Clothing Room UpdateWith the COVID-19 restrictions easing in our area we are planning to reopen the clothing room to the public. The seasons are changing and many in our community are in need of clothing assistance.
This ministry is need of a leader, as well as volunteers to help man the clothing room when it is open to the public. If you are able to help, please contact Stan Allen at (270) 556-7525.
Thank You“Thank You” doesn’t adequately express our family’s gratitude for the many calls, texts, cards, and especially the prayers during Sonja’s Dad’s hip surgery and hospital stay and Ray’s cervical surgery. We are blessed to have Sonja’s sister Vickie Davis here to care for Dad so she can care for Ray while he recovers. We are blessed to be part of such a loving church family. As You PrayMeLisa Beane is in ICU at Murray Calloway County Hospital with COVID pneumonia. Prayers appreciated for the family while they can’t be together.
Tony Henderson has had a recurrence of cancer.
Kayla, Katie, & Maie Irick have COVID. So far their cases are mild.
Carol Enlow asks that we be praying for Christina & Ryan Looper. Christina is pregnant; nearing her due date. Ryan has tested positive for COVID.
Shawn Rowton is being treated at Baptist for COVID.
Many in our community and congregation are down with COVID or are quarantining from exposure. Be looking for ways to reach out and encourage your friends and neighbors.

SympathyOur heartfelt condolences go out to Bob & Janice Crosno at the passing of Bob’s mother Fleda Crosno on Sunday, July 18th. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
Our sympathies are also extended to Lisa Hall and her mother Dephane Hartman at the passing of Lisa’s step-dad, Tuesday, July 20th.

50th AnniversaryCongratulations to Danny & Norma Evis who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, September 4th. There were wed here at Broadway on that day in 1971.

Thank you so much for partnering with Paducah Power System and the American Red Cross to host the 15th annual Power for Patients blood drive. We had two strong days of support from area blood donors helping us provide 172 units of blood for patients in need in our community. We greatly appreciate being able to use your facility. Bible Classes begin at 10:45am and will release at 11:15am.
Parents: Your child will not be released until picked-up by an adult.

Power for PatientsWed. & Thurs., September 8-9, 11:30am-5:30pm, FLCWe are honored to host the Annual Paducah Power - Power for Patients Blood Drive. Appointments can be made through the Red Cross; walk-ins welcomed. Paducah Power System customers who donate receive a one-time credit on their electric bill. This event is a huge help to our community and area hospitals in desperate need of blood products.

Broadway Youth Group Upcoming Activities:Back to School BashFriday, August 6thWe will be going to Murray to join Glendale Road’s Youth Group for our Back to School Bash. We will be leaving the church building at 5:15.
MAGI Box PostageThis year we have 220 boxes to send. The postage for each box is $7; $1,540 total. If you would like to make a donation, funds can be given to Andy Clausen or the church oice. Please make checks payable to Broadway church of Christ and indicate that the funds are for the MAGI Project. Please have donations in by Sept. 19th.

Columbus-Belmont Camping TripFriday-Sunday, September 17-19thCamp sites can still be reserved through the park. Space 33 will be the home base for activities. Even if you aren’t camping, join us Saturday for a potluck at 5pm. Burgers will be provided. Bring sides to share. After dinner we will have a competition for the best Homemade Ice Cream.
