Our Beloved Pastor,

As we celebrate with excitement and vigor these 42 years of Pastor and People, and begin the next chapter, we thank you, Pastor Richardson. We give God the greatest praise for sending us a shepherd who has led us to higher heights and deeper depths in our faith and in our knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor, through your preaching, teaching, and witness, not only has Grace Baptist Church been blessed, but the world at large has been enriched by your visionary ministry. And so, it is with great joy that we celebrate with you a total of 50 years of preaching God’s word. Glory, glory hallelujah!

We thank God for keeping you healthy, and giving you strength, knowledge and wisdom to lead us during these precious years. It is with enormous gratitude that we recognize your charming wife and our first lady, Mrs. Inez Richardson. We also recognize your children, Orchid and husband, Eugene, and Reverend William; and of course, your grandchildren. We thank God for keeping them healthy and supportive of you.

As we journey toward the dedication of our new Cathedral, we do so with God’s Grace. We pray that He will continue to increase the people and allow Grace Baptist Church to be a beacon of light to the community at large. So we, Pastor and People, go forth nurturing and watering what God has planted, waiting for the harvest.

Our theme is a befitting testimony: "42 years – A Journey of Faith: Pastor and People Sustained by God’s Omnipotent Hand."

With our love and appreciation,

Richard Thompson Chairman of the Deacon's Ministryon behalf of Your Loving Grace Family

ON THE HORIZON OF GRACE WORDS FROM OUR PASTORMy Loved Ones,

As I reflect on our incredible journey as pastor and people, how do I begin to thank God for the privilege of being used in His ministry, at one place, for 42 years? To be blessed with such extraordinary people whose love continues to pass from generation to generation is quite ineffable. To personally be the recipient of such a legacy is utterly inexpressable. I am truly blessed! As I think about our journey together as pastor and people, waves of gratitude overtake me and leave me breathless.Every time I look into the faces of the babies I have dedicated, the couples I have married, and the new disciples I have baptized; and the multiple times I have stood on the banks of the Jordan as our faithful members transitioned to the Silent City, I am overwhelmed. I am reminded of the honor that comes with being a servant leader in this place. Whether it be the longevity of the post or simply the nature of our journey together over these many years, I am so appreciative to have earned your partnership and your trust. I count it all joy because I know that God's omnipotent hand has been guiding us all the way and His love will forever be our beacon of light and hope. When I count my blessings, at the top of the list is the perpetual partnership of my wife, Inez Nunnally Richardson. She is my God-given gift of secret strength, which is only complimented by my loving and devoted family. Our Deacons, Trustess, and staff also provide for exceptional capacity to navigate this great ship of faith through turbulent waters. I am thankful for them all.Let us pause today to thank God for all He has done during these days of our walk together. May the days ahead provide opportunity for the expansion of our territory, the deepening of our devotion, and the greater relevance of our ministry. Pray with me that all will be so!
