When people such as Chris D’Arcy bring their own shoes you know there is seri- ous competition to be had. A great night had by all, ably organized by Rich- ard and Rewa again. It was great to have Josh attending with Mike and Phil, his was the most appreciated strike of the night.  It was a busy Rotary weekend again which I missed as I was in Sydney with my daughter. Everyone is so committed and self directed that the absence of one person doesn’t make an impact at all. All re- ports tell me that the Farmers Market and the Con- course Car show ran with the usual quiet efficiency to give us fantastic community and financial results. James has estimated this month’s income as very good again; from this we donate $500 per month to Sandringham College. We’ve been getting around $400 per month from the raffle, to put this in per- spective if this keeps up, the annual Raffle takings could well exceed the money we get for Masters Golf Car Parking, which puts the importance of the raffle as a fundraiser in perspective. It is shaping up to be our third best fundraiser after the Market itself and the annual golf day.  So when you are on the roster remember that the Farmers Market, thanks to the vision of our mem- bers and the hard work of our members, is helping us to provide our support for local and international projects. Contents 1 Presidents Report 2 Notices 3 Fellowship Night 4 Paul Rak 5 MITS 6 Farmers Market 7/8 Concourse Car and Bike Show 9 Club Structure / Picture of Week Unless stated otherwise venue is Victoria Golf Club 6.30 for 7.00

Planning Ahead

Three meetings ago I distributed an ldquoInterestSurveyrdquo sheet on which I requested membersto indicate their areas of interest for 201617 ndashmy year as president

The reason was twofold

To ensure all members old and new alike hadthe opportunity to indicate their areas of spe-cific interest in terms of board and club posi-tions and committee work

To allow time for mentoring this year of mem-bers who have had no previous experience inthe role they may be interested in taking up in201617

I donrsquot mind whether you fill in one of the sur-vey sheets (I will have more at the next twomeetings) email me your preferences or ad-vise me personally at a meeting but I wouldappreciate your input preferably no later than15 September

Thanks

FARMERS MARKET 12th September

Another great Farmers Market with good weather

Well done to everyone on the raffle and BBQ-thesetakings seem to be becoming an approximate aver-

age If this keeps up the annual Raffle takingscould well exceed the money we get for MastersGolf Car Parking which puts the importance of theraffle as a fundraiser in perspective It is shaping upto be our third best fundraiser after the Market itselfand the annual golf day

The gate was also close to average but a little up-surprising as some of the traders were saying itwas slow Perhaps some always say that As theRFM guy Peter Arnold says ldquoevery month is differ-

ent and you canrsquot predict itrdquo

Well done to all the Volunteers for another success-ful market

The Market after seven months is grossing on av-erage $5000 approx and netting $4000 approx af-ter running costs and the Sandringham Collegedonation

Note As part of our arrangement with Hocking Stuart discountson agents fees are available to RCOB members
