Harvest and storage of high-quality forage coming from dynamic forage systems will be the focus of the in-field demo day to be held in Piemonte on 20 June at Lembo Farm in Rocca de' Baldi, Cuneo. Some aspects of the management of pre-dried alfalfa, harvesting with harvest wagon, and eventu-ally the making of wrapped bales with an innovative compactor will be presented. This technique allow for small silage (about 700-1000 Kgs) of extremely high fermentative and microbial quality to be made, while managing the consumption and the risk of aerobic deterioration of silage.
