    Dandi Salt March

    Act of protest against the Britishsalt tax

    Gandhiji and followers walked fromSabarmati Ashram to Dandi, Gujarat

    The march was 200 miles long

    March lasted about a month!

    Gandhiji made salt illegally byboiling a lump of mud and salt inseawater

    From then on, salt was madeillegally by almost everyone

    Gandhiji showed the world a newway to protest known as Satyagraha there was no violence involved
