"L e Bal de la Rose" is the eventthat every year takes place in

Montecarlo during springtime. It’s a ga-la that began in 1954 that has beenpromoted by Princess Grace in order tocollect money in favour of her founda-tion. The Foundation of the princesstoday supports 40 French paediatric ho-spitals and finances laboratories ofscientific research; it contributes to thedistribute scholarships to young peopleloving lyrics and dance music. TheFoundation financed last year about500 poor families. This year PrincessCarolina has decided that her sonsshould take part in the traditional dan-ce: Andrea, Carlotta and Pierre. Therhythm of the music of Bob Marley andJimmy Cleft opened the dance duringthe dinner and where their youngfriends have joined. A Reggae-chic dan-ce that has seen the participation ofabout nine hundred famous guestssuch as Botero, Henry Salvador, SpyrosNiarchos and the jeweller Repossi whohas donated a wonderful tourmalinnecklace. Everyone has assisted to the

amusing and typical show for the so-lemn Salles Des Etoiles of the Sportingof Montecarlo since that the danceshad been before opened from Graceand Ranieri and later on from Albertoand the sisters according to the rigid ce-

rimonial of the gala. The real rose ofthe evening has been the wonderfuldaughter of Carolina and Stefano Casi-raghi, Charlotte, 20 years old that hasbeen followed by the crazy photogra-phers all the night.

Quest’annoSua Altezza Reale la principessa Caro-lina ha deciso di voltar pagina, e al tra-dizionale ballo hanno fatto il loro in-gresso i giovani figli Andrea, Carlotta ePierre, che hanno aperto le danze du-rante la cena al ritmo di Bob Marley e

Jimmy Cleft, e a loro si sono uniti i lo-ro giovanissimi amici. Un ballo quindiReggae-chic, a cui hanno partecipatoquasi novecento illustri ospiti, tra iquali Botero, Henry Salvador, SpyrosNiarchos e il gioielliere Repossi che hadonato un meraviglioso collier di tour-malin. Tutti hanno assistito ad un di-vertente quanto insolito spettacolo perla solenne Salles des Etoiles dello Spor-ting di Montecarlo in quanto le danze,per oltre mezzo secolo, erano stateaperte prima da Grace e Ranieri e inseguito da Alberto e le sorelle, secon-do la rigida etichetta del gala. La verarosa della serata è stata la splendida fi-glia di Carolina e Stefano Casiraghi, laventenne Charlotte, bersagliata pertutta la sera dai flash dei fotografi im-pazziti.
