Ne è testimonianza l’inedita mostra “We want to be modern”, di recente inaugu- rata al National Museum di Varsavia. In 2010 the Young Creative Poland exhibition at the Milan Triennale, curated by Miska Miller-Lovegrove, partner at Lovegrove Studio, Anna Pietrzyk-Simone and Monika Unger, brought a group of young, emerging Polish designers to the attention of the international design scene. Polish companies have been key to the furniture market's expanding and increasingly refined product ranges, supplying internatio- nally renowned companies. Milan Salone del Mobile 2011 offers the ideal platform to present the international design community with Polish brands, their designs, innovations and products. The show captures the energy of the burgeoning design scene in Poland and presents new projects by some of the designers from the first edition of Young Creative Poland, for brands including Iker, Noti, Vox and Zieta Prozessdesign.

YU SYSTEM by Marta Krupinska

ANNO DI FONDAZIONE: 2007 Oskar Zieta fonda Zieta Prozessdesign a Zurigo come costola dell’EDTH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology).

PREMI E RICONOSCIMENTI: Audi Mentorpreiz by A&W 2011, Red Dot Award 2008, DMY Award for Innovation in production process 2008, YDMI 2008, “Dobry Wzor” 2009, German Design Council Prize 2009, Forum Aid Award 2009, “Sch-weizer Design Preis” 2009 e Technology Award - Materialica 2009.

FOUNDED: 2007 Oskar Zieta creates Zieta Prozessdesign in Zurich as a spinoff of the ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). The company's two laboratories in Zurich and in Wroclaw are the research centres for the application of FiDU (free inner pressure forming) technology to design and architecture. Its first products to have reached the market are the Plopp Stool and the limited-edition Chippensteel Chair.

DESIGNER: Oskar Zieta

PHILOSOPHY: “Controlled loss of control” is the inspiration behind the new collection and the manifesto behind the FiDU technology. The process developed by Zieta allows for the creation of 3D objects out of thin steel sheets that are cut, laser welded and inflated with compressed air. This is the result of a multidiscipli-nary research team of engineers, designers, construction specialists, materials experts and artists who observe the material’s deformation and behaviour. The objective is to expand the use of FiDU technology into larger architectural projects.

ENGAGEMENT: Zieta Prozessdesign's ambition is to increase efficiency and sustainability of the production process and optimise transportation and warehou-sing costs. One example is the Blow&Roll installation presented during the London Design Festival 2010. Zieta Prozessdesign collaborates with other companies and design centres to promote the use of new technologies: Magazin, Manufactum, BS2 and with the Wroclaw Research Centre EIT+.

AWARDS: Red Dot Award 2008, DMY Award for Innovation in Production Process 2008, YDMI 2008, Dobry Wzor 2009, German Design Council Prize 2009, Forum Aid Award 2009, Schweizer Design Prize 2009, Technology Award - Materialica 2009 and Audi Mentorpreis by A&W, 2011.

GLOBALLY: Exhibitions at the Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe, at the Gestal-ltung Museum in Zurich, at the Pinakothek der Moderne München, at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The pieces created by Zieta Prozessdesign are sold in high-profile design galleries such as Moss in New York, Tools in Paris and Karena Schuessler in Berlin.
