Abuse Detection Warningbuzzer, Circuit breaker andPower shut down protection

Your Minimoto™ ATV has automatic protec-tion systems built into it to prevent perma-nent damage to the electronic circuits.

Abuse Detection Warning Buzzer: YourATV is equipped with a temperature andoverloading current sensor to detect possi-ble overheating and overloading of theelectronic control box. Overheating orOverloading may occur if you run your ATVwith too heavy a load, in too rough a ter-rain, or up too steep an incline.

1) If the temperature in the electronics istoo high, the sensor will shut the vehicledown and a warning buzzer with a highpitch noise will last for 10 seconds.

If this happens, you must wait for the sen-sor to detect a lower temperature. Thismay take at least 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the outside air temperatureduring the ride. The ATV should work asnormal again, after the reset.

2) If a overloading current occurs, thebuzzer will beep for 2-3 seconds and shutthe vehicle down at the same time.

Release the accelerator to reset the ATV.Rotate the accelerator again to resume rid-ing.

When a overloading current occurs causingthe vehicle to stop operating and NObuzzer is heard, refer to Circuit BreakerProtection and Reset section.

Circuit Breaker Protection and Reset: Ifthe ATV stops working and you hear NOBUZZER, check to see if the CircuitBreaker button has “popped up” (Fig 22).WAIT ten seconds and press the black but-ton in the center of the Circuit Breakerdown. If the button stays down, the CircuitBreaker is reset. If not, wait longer until ithas cooled down enough before pressingthe button.

TIRE INFLATION PROCEDURE :

IMPORTANT:Before inflating any tire, make surethe KEY is removed from the vehicle.

To inflate a tire, unscrew the protective capfrom the valve stem and attach the bicyclepump as you would with any bicycle.

WARNING: Tire inflation must be doneONLY BY AN ADULT ONLY. NEVER inflatethe tires above 30 PSI. Tires should beinflated with a standard “bicycle” typepump. Inflation at an Automobile servicestation can easily result in over inflationof the tires. Over inflation of the tirescan result in serious injur y or even death.

Tires MUST be at the proper inflationin order to achieve good handlingcharacteristics and control. Overinflation will make the tires “bulge”outward. This will cause prematurewear of the tire. Under inflation willcause the tire to look flat on theground. This will result in poor run-ning speeds and handling. Makesure that your tires are properlyinflated to get the most out of yourvehicle.

TIRE REPAIR:In the event that a tire should consistentlyloose air pressure, the tires can berepaired at a local bicycle repair shop. The tires have an inner tube construction.WARNING: Inspect tires regularly.

TIRE ROTATION:

The rear tires will wear unevenly as theforces placed on them are different. TheRight Rear tire does all the braking anddelivers all the power to the ground.

Replacement tires can be obtained fromthe Minimoto Service Center. Email yourrequest at customer [email protected]

WARNING: Disconnect the battery beforeremoving the tires. This will ensure no pos-sibility of the motor or wheel running acci-dentally while working in this area. Referto page 18 steps 1-3 “Replacing the bat-tery” in this instruction manual for thisoperation.

To ensure that your tires last as long aspossible, it is recommended that yourotate the tires as the tread patter n wearsdown. Most likely, the RIGHT REAR tire willwear heavier than the left (depending onyour driving habits). When the Right Reartire appears to show some wear, rotate thetires between the left and right. This wayyou can stretch the useable life of thetires out over a longer period of time.

1) Raise the ATV and lay it on its side(Fig. A) Make sure that the ATV will notfall to its side and injure anyone. Use awork bench if possible.

2) Open the valve cap on the valve stemof the tire.Deflate the tireby pushing thevalve pin insidethe valve stem.(Fig. B)

3) Using the wrench (not provided) andallen key remove the five bolts and nutson the hub of the wheel. (Fig. C)

4) Lift and remove the top hub from theaxle. Remove the tire and place aside.(Fig. D & Fig. E)

5) Place the new tire (or from anotherwheel) onto the bottom hub on the axle.Reconnect the two hubs with the tire inbetween and align the scre w holes. Mak esure the valve stem is also inser ted to thehole in the top hub. Tighten the bolt andnuts in re verse order. (F ig. F & F ig. G)

6) Inflate the tire with a foot pump until30Psi.

7) Reconnect the battery and ride as nor-mal.
