The FBI is working with Winchester on a potentially serious condition affecting all recently

produced .40 S&W, Winchester, Q4355, 180grain, Bonded SERVICE ammunition. Some of the cartridge casings were produced without a flash hole. This condition completely elimi­nates the ability of this Service cartridge to fire - this is a "silent killer" in that no visual in­spection by FBI personnel can detect this manufacturing defect and it would only be known at the time the Agent attempted to fire their handgun. A limited number of problems have been reported however this is such a dangerous condition immediate action is required.

Affected ammunition will have a four character "day code", two letters, two numbers, Le., FA

42. All Q4355 with day codes beginning with the letter F and any Q4355 with the two letter

combination of EN are included in this recall.

This ammunition must be removed from service weapons and magazines IMME­DIATELY. Again, boxed ammunition with the following codes must be removed from service

In 2008, Ruger received a small number of reports from the field indicating that LCP pistols could discharge when dropped onto a hard surface with a round in the chamber. We are firmly committed to safety and would like to retrofit all older LCP Pistols. The retrofit involves installation of an upgraded hammer mechanism at no charge to the customer.

How to determine if your pistol needs the retrofit: • All LCP Pistols with serial number prefix "371" and higher (371-xxxxx) have been manufactured with the new hammer mechanism and are NOT affected by the recall and DO NOT need to be returned. See Figure 1 below.

• If your lCP has a serial number prefix "370" you will need to check the flat portion of the slot just behind and below the hammer for a diamond mark. As shown below in Figure 2, LCPs marked with the diamond have had the new hammer mechanism installed and DO NOT need to be returned .

• If your LCP has the "370" serial number prefix and DOES NOT HAVE the diamond mark, we recommend you have your LCP retrofitted with the upgraded hammer mechanism at no charge.

RUGER® SR9® PRODUCT SAFETY WARNING AND RECALL NOTICE

In 2008, we determined that some Ruger SR9 Pistols manufactured between October 2007 and April 2008 could, ufJder certain conditions, fire if dropped with their manual safeties in the "off' or "fire" position. The pistols will not fire if the manual safety is in the "on" or "safe" position.

We will retrofit all affected SR9 pistols (those with serial number 330-29999 or lower) with these parts at no charge to our customers. In order to ensure correct fitting, the new parts must be installed at our Ruger factory in Prescott, Arizona. We will remove the old parts and install the new tngger group promptly, at no charge, and will return the pistol to you. The old parts will not be returned.

How to determine if your pistol needs the retrofit: It is easy to determine if your pistol has been retrofitted by simply looking at it. Although both the old and new trigger group have a two-stage trigger, the original design had an inner "shoe" that was not visible and, therefore, appeared to be a single trigger (See Figure 1, below). The new trigger design incorporates a visible inner trigger of a blade design (See Figure 2, below).

REMINGTON MODEL 700™ AND MODEL SEVEN™ RIFLES PRODUCTS: Remington Arms Company, LLC (“Remington”) is voluntarily recalling Remington Model 700™ and Model Seven™ rifles with X-Mark Pro® (“XMP®”) triggers, manufactured from May 1, 2006 to April 9, 2014. DESCRIPTION OF THE HAZARD: Remington has determined that some Model 700 and Model Seven rifles with XMP triggers could, under certain circumstances, unintentionally discharge. A Remington investigation has determined that some XMP triggers might have excess bonding agent used in the assembly process. While Remington has the utmost confidence in the design of the XMP trigger, it is undertaking this recall in the interest of consumer safety to remove any potential excess bonding agent applied in the assembly process. HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOUR RIFLE IS SUBJECT TO THE RECALL: Only Model 700 and Model Seven rifles with XMP triggers are being recalled. To determine if your rifle is subject to this recall, you should take the following steps:

I. Find the rifle’s serial number where the barrel meets the receiver. SEE GRAPHIC A a. For a right-handed rifle, the serial number is located on a user’s left. b. For a left-handed rifle, the serial number is located on a user’s right.

Identify the serial number and provide it to Remington’s recall support team, either by entering it at xmprecall.remington.com or calling 1-800-243-9700 (Prompt #3 then Prompt #1) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. You will be informed if your rifle is affected by this recall and supported with free resources to return the rifle for inspection and specialized cleaning.

III. You may also determine if your rifle is subject to the recall by a visual inspection.

1) If the face of the trigger is ribbed (see Photo (1) below), your rifle does not have an XMP trigger and is NOT subject to this recall.

2) If the face of the trigger is smooth (see Photo (2) below), your rifle has an XMP trigger and IS subject to this recall – in which case you should immediately seek further assistance at xmprecall.remington.com or by calling 1-800-243-9700 (Prompt #3 then Prompt #1) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT.

VERIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION: Upon return of your rifle, you will note a punch mark on the bolt release (see Photo 3 below). This mark confirms your rifle has been inspected and specialty cleaned under this recall program. Remington has also corrected the XMP trigger assembly process to eliminate this problem in rifles made after April 9, 2014. Rifles made after April 9, 2014 will also have a punch mark on the bolt release. Springfield Armory® is initiating this voluntary safety recall to upgrade 3.3 XD-S™ 9mm and 3.3 XD-S™ .45ACP pistols with new components, which eliminate the possibility of a potentially dangerous condition. We want to emphasize that no injuries have been reported to date.

Springfield has determined that under exceptionally rare circumstances, some 3.3 XD-S™ 9mm and .45ACP caliber pistols could experience an unintended discharge during the loading process when the slide is released, or could experience a double-fire when the trigger is pulled once. The chance of these conditions existing is exceptionally rare, but if they happen, serious injury or death could occur.

What should you do?STOP USING YOUR 3.3 XD-S™ 9mm or .45ACP PISTOL AND CAREFULLY UNLOAD IT!

To begin the upgrade process and for fastest response, click on the Get Started link at the top of the page. On that page enter your serial number and click Next. REMINGTON MODEL 887™ Recall PRODUCTS: Remington is voluntarily recalling Remington Model 887™ shotguns manufactured from December 1, 2013 to November 24, 2014. DESCRIPTION OF THE HAZARD: Remington has determined that some Remington Model 887™ shotguns manufactured between December 1, 2013 and November 24, 2014 may exhibit a defect causing the firing pin to bind in the forward position within the bolt, which can result in an unintentional discharge when chambering a live round. While Remington has the utmost confidence in the design of the 887™ shotgun, it is undertaking this recall in the interest of consumer safety.

REMEDY/ACTION TO BE TAKEN: STOP USING YOUR SHOTGUN. Any unintended discharge has the potential to cause injury or death. Immediately cease use of recalled shotguns and return them to Remington free of charge. Shotguns will be inspected, repaired, tested, and returned as soon as possible, at no cost to you. DO NOT attempt to diagnose or repair recalled shotguns yourself. For your safety, STOP USING YOUR SHOTGUN and immediately contact Remington.
