IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING THE EVALUATION OF APPLICATIONS TO THE CALL FOR ERASMUS+ STUDENT MOBILITY

FOR STUDIES FOR THE ERASMUS+ CALL 2020 SELECTION OF MOBILITY CANDIDATES

The results of evaluation of applications to the Call for Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies – CALL 2020 which have been taken by Istanbul Sehir University between February 14 – March 13, 2020, has been completed in accordance with principles mentioned below. 1) Please kindly do note that being selected for Erasmus study exchange does not mean that you would go to the exchange for sure. The host university should accept your application. For this reason, both selected students with or without grant and students on the waiting list are announced as “CANDIDATES”. 2) There are three categories of STATUS of applications as announced in the list:

a) Candidate for Erasmus+ Grant, meaning selected for mobility with grant, in line with the funds granted by the Turkish National Agency. b) Wait Listed Candidate for Erasmus+ Grant, meaning in case of cancellation in the status “Candidate for Erasmus Grant” from the same department, students in this category will be mobilized & without grant; meaning selected for mobility without grant. If Students who selected as without grant want to go on exchange, he/she needs to contact Marmara University International Office to select a host university to take part in mobility. c) Ineligible applications, meaning the applications that did not meet the eligibility criteria.

3) The designations have been made according to the following selection criteria:

i) success level of the students are determined on the basis of CGPA and SELT score, equally weighted (50% - 50%). CGPAs are converted into 100 system using the conversion table of YÖK. 10 points are subtracted from the total scores of the applicants who benefited from Erasmus mobility before, with or without grant, at the same education level. ii) Seats are allocated according to the principle of departmental quotas, based on the graduate and undergraduate applications number, and number of eligible applications from each department.

4) The student cannot be placed in any of his/her preferred universities due to the quota restriction, therefore the Marmara University International Office placed the student to the suitable agreements. 5) If you decide to abandon your right to any kind of mobility status as listed in the Announcement List, please fill in the attached “Abandonment Letter” and submit to the International Office by January 31, 2021. 6) Please feel free to contact us via [email protected] regarding your mobility procedure.
