HOW is my collection changing? To increase recycling and reduce waste the Council is making changes to your bin collections.

Rubbish will be collected every 2 weeks From Spring 2020

Separate food recycling will be collected weekly From November 2019

Recycling will be collected every 2 weeks From Spring 2020

These services are changing because in 2019/20 we must make savings of £18million and a further £12million the following year.

This means that along with other local authorities, we are having to make difficult decisions about the future of many council services.

Analysis has shown that about 50% of what goes into the average rubbish bin could be recycled either as dry recycling or food recycling.

Fortnightly rubbish collections encourage more recycling and make savings which will help protect other vital services.

Current mixed food and garden waste will stop End of October 2019

New optional, paid for, garden waste collection service From November 2019
