Determining Levels: Level Descriptors

Describe the level of knowledge and/or skills and expected performance at each level of the SCQF in terms of 5 characteristics (skill areas) which are•Knowledge and understanding; •Practice (applied knowledge and understanding); •Generic cognitive skills, such as evaluation and critical analysis; •Communication, ICT and Numeracy Skills; •Autonomy, accountability and working with others.

• Inclusion of ‘sector’ in addition to ‘subject and discipline’
