Main DiscussionWhat are the main attention points for securing succesful implementation of projects within healthcare?
What are the main constraints and enablers?
What would be possible action points to ensure succesful implementation?
Please agree on, and list, the 10 most important points based on the previous discussions
15 key points for securing succesful implementation
Internal collaboration between the silos is neededInvolvement & commitment at different levels – getting people (across the hierarki) in the same room
Including decision making commitmentTake many smaller steps rather than one big stepMake it measurable (both hard facts and soft parameters)
Value based measurables (Both what is and what is not measurable)Involve end-users ex. patients (ensure you solve their actual needs)Innovation is a learning process for the organisation as well as the involved employeesSmart, strong and brave leadership is neededMoney is needed (reimbursement for the involved/ ekstra finances for the implementations fase)
15 key points for securing succesful implementation
Change in the reimbursement system to favor and reward implementation of research and innovation
Patient / caretaker expectations are changing (ex in relation e-health systems)Patientcare is changing, this is a driver for implementation
Clear and transparent process for innovation, for instance in relation to IT & Procurement with the focus of learningClever ways for attaining financial reimbursement for innovation (ex. earn money via clinical trail for reinvestment in employee education)Go for the global perspective (look beyond the national /regional need = taking global company perspective in to consideration)Time
It takes time to be innovative (company vs hospital: Time definition differs)
Time allocated toward innovators (employees)Trust
Be openminded – do not pre judge the other party (business or hospital)
No short cuts to trusting the other partner - it takes time to build the needed level of trust
Thank you for attendingThank you for attenting and for good discussions! This is the last of the NRI Innovation Network workshops of 2015Thank you to
