Knowledge Compendium

• To assist consistency and reduce repetition universal knowledge and understanding is included to underpin competence and support reflection on practice

• Units may have additional knowledge and understanding relevant to the specified area of practice

• Integration of knowledge and practice fundamental within the social services and health sectors

•  Holistic assessment is essential to establish knowledge and understanding within and across units

• Assessors and candidates should identify opportunities to integrate activities and knowledge

• It is not generally necessary to provide separate pieces of evidence for each performance criteria. However, assessors and candidates need to be satisfied that all performance criteria and knowledge are covered
