Action Reaction Functionality Comments Problems Matthew initiates his Impactzone’ by turning it on from the power source Status feedback via LED + Counter; goes through numbers from 1-9 and A-F and flashes RGB To interactive with his football skills. Children of all ages can acknowledge the system has power and is ready to use. Matthew proceeds to place inside shoes on, instead of dirty boots. No ball or field is than required to proceed/practice interaction. No dirt or grime is bought inside the house. Matthew is able to practice his skills indoors without getting water or dirt through the house. Might require a large space to operate for younger children. Attaches sensors to the arch of both parts of his feet. Movement of feet are now being monitored to improve the accuracy of Matthews touch. Monitors pressure/contact point without the need of kicking a physical ball. Parents are able to watch from a distance (being inside) and continue with other household duties. If sensors are not blue tooth or cordless, could encounter problems. Re-inacts the movements required for juggling a ball; bending knees and making contact with the metaphorical ball. Contact with the ‘Impactzone’ causes a reading to appear indicating the level of accuracy through the contact. Practices movements on a slower, much easier scale. This allows room for significantly fast improvement. This product engagement can teach children of all ages and keep them engaged in their learning of playing soccer. The user eventually will reach their goal/ top score. When this occurs, the product will give feedback by flashing blue 5 times to indicate that the user has reached this goal. Keeps the user psychologically engaged with their learning and celebrates their achievements. Once the product has flashed blue indicating that the user has reached their goal, it will reset and encourage the user to improve further. Release Ball from Hands and aim to make contact with your feet. Keep balanced and proceed to bend your knees and keep the ball from touching the ground. The ball should be hitting the arch of your foot in order to gain an accurate reaction Product: The Impact Zone is a interactive, indoor juggling game that allows users to practice their touch and accuracy without a ball. A projected ball will appear as a visual element and will be interacted through sensors placed on the feet of the user. Context: Indoor solution, no boots, no dirt, no ball. Goal: To improve the users touch, engage learning environment without the need to practice with a physical ball. Benefit: Pre-teen can play indoors without the hassle of equipment or the uncontrolled factor of weather. The pre-teen can also be watched by guardian without needing to be in their presence.
