This is IMPACT Precast by StruSoftIMPACT Precast is an advanced software application for designing precast concrete building elements.

IMPACT Precast is specifically developed to handle different types of concrete elements and the connections between them. The user is able to design the entire building and create a three dimensional model (the Building Information Model – BIM) from which data for the elements can be extracted in order to automatically generate shop drawings, as-sembly drawings and reports. The information includes reinforcement, cast-in material, joints, electrical- and other components for slabs, hollow core- and form slabs, walls, sandwich- and double walls and columns and beams.

The user can choose from working in 2D, 3D or directly on the shop drawing. Standard components are stored in the BIM Standard Library.

All information is interlinked between the model, the drawings and the reports. One “Central Database” - BIM, collates all project information, allowing changes in the drawings to be immediately taken back to BIM, with a possibility of exporting data to Material and Planning Systems (ERP) and Machine Control Systems.

TheStruSoftBuildingInformationModel(BIM)isdevelopedusingdatabasetechnologyto store all building information (data). The BIM handles both Project and Standard Data, and all shop drawings, assembly drawings and reports can be extracted from the BIM. Information can be transferred to Material and Planning Systems (ERP) and Machine Control Systems through special interfaces (e.g. Betsy, Eliplan and Unitechnik).

IMPACT Software Modules

Precast BaseBase manages the project from start to finish. Informa-tion is controlled on project, floor and element level, and all drawings, documents and reports are handled in this module. Reports are generated in Microsoft Excel format or can be printed out directly. All project specific data is defined in the BIM Standard Library when setting up a new project.

Through the use of 3D-functions, slabs and walls can be viewed from different angles.

With the Base Extensions modules data can be transferred to Material and Planning Systems (ERP) and to Machine Control Systems.

Precast Hollow CoreHollow Core is a module for designing hollow core slabs. The slabs are defined by an arbitrary area. Saw lines can be defined to divide the slab into elements. Lifts and core filings can be inserted for each element.

With the use of the Hollow Core Extension Prestres-sed Calculation Connection it is possible to use the Prestressed Calculation module to perform a structural analysis of the slab and the result is then presented on the slab on the floor plan drawing.

Precast SlabSlab is a module for designing slabs with or without pre-stress. The slabs are defined by an arbitrary area. The slabs can be split into several elements by input of the width of each element.

Precast Form SlabForm Slab is a module for designing forms slabs. The form slab definition is setup with reinforcement, lifting points and lattice girders. Form Slab calculates the spacing between bars and strains. Mesh, holes and end-stops are also handled.

The form slabs can be standardized using rules for lattice girders and different reinforcement alternatives.

Precast SandwichSandwich is a module for designing sandwich walls. The shape of the wall is defined using the floor plan or the elevation drawing as background.

Components can be inserted using the BIM Stan-dard Library.

The weight and centre of gravity can be calculated, and lifts and bracing anchors can be placed based on the position of the centre of gravity.

Precast Wall/Column/BeamWall/Column/Beam is a module for designing walls, columns and beams. Solid walls, columns and beams are defined using the floor plan or the elevation drawing.

Components can be inserted using the BIM Stan-dard Library.

The weight and centre of gravity can be calculated, and lifts and bracing anchors can be placed based on the position of the centre of gravity.

Precast Double WallDouble Wall is a module for designing double walls. The walls can be defined quickly and also be standar-dised to minimize the input for each wall.

Walls can be connected to each other using joints or T-connections with reinforcement.

ReinforcementComplex reinforcement can be defined in an easy and intuitive way. Templates can be used to ensure that de-tailing is presented according to national standards.

The Reinforcement module can be used for special elements such as columns and beams and own func-tions can be developed using the macro-language.

The data is stored in the drawing or in the BIM database.

The Reinforcement module is integrated to the Slab, Form Slab, Sandwich, Wall/Column/Beam and Double Wall modules or can be used stand-alone.

Worldwide Projects IMPACT is used by precast plants, construction com-paniesandconsulting(design)companiesalloverthe world. Through web-based project collaboration, all users can share and distribute precast standard data to be used by consulting companies working as sub-contractors to construction companies and precast plants.
