    INTRODUCTION

    The main purpose of this study was to assess the role of work motivation on

    employee performance. This study in an assessment of this purpose used a qualitative

    survey which will be carried out among employees working at banking sectors. The

    survey was intended to get their responses on what they feel is (are) the best factors

    that could motivate them among a list of motivational factors. In this light the study

    sets to identify the most ranked factors among the ten motivational factors.

    However a study from previous researches used in this study showed that different

    results could be obtained from different groups of already working employees. This

    study therefore can be seen as an introduction to a more detailed study to be carried by

    future researchers on the field of employees motivation.

    OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

    1. To study motivation level of employee at HDFC Ltd., Dehradun.

    2. To identify the relationship between work motivation and employee performance

    HYPOTHESIS:

    In order to fulfill my objectives, following hypothesis is formed:-

    Null hypothesis- There is no relationship between the motivation level and employee

    performance.

    Alternate hypothesis- There is relationship between the motivation level and employee

    performance.

    SCOPE OF STUDY:

    This proposed study is limited to HDFC Ltd. and SBI, Dehradun. This proposed study

    will help to find out the impact of work motivation on employee performance.

    RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

    The research process consists of a series of actions that are necessary to carry out the

    research efficiently and that are necessary to carry out the research efficiently and

    effectively.

    SAMPLE SIZE

    The population of study is in HDFC, Ltd. & SBI, Dehradun. The sample size consists of

    50 employees working in the HDFC, Ltd & 50 employees from SBI, Dehradun. Total

    number of sample size is 100.

    METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION

    The method of data collection will be primary as well as secondary technique.

    1. To collect a primary data through a questionnaire this will be filled by theemployees.

    2. For secondary data- Journals, Magazine, News paper, Internet, books.

    SCALING TECHNIQUE

    Scaling technique will apply to understand the correlation between work motivation level

    and employee performance.

    For the analysis of data, SPSS will be use.
