• Increase in body bags was not appreciated- they weren’t too happy about it
• The wanted to withdraw from Vietnam• Hawks vs. doves. Doves gaining power• Johnson not going for re-election

• Wanted US withdrawal• They were fighting for their homes and had the
advantage of being on home terrain• Guerrilla Tactics• Tet Offensive = wiped out almost all NVA /
Vietcong soldiers• Napalm • THEY WON! YAY! WOOP! WOOP! HAPPY CLAPPY

• Dove mentality• Against conscription• Demonstrators treated harshly
