GLOBALISATION
System of international economic relations.
Be it in the fields of investment, production,
trade, finance or technology. The wider view equals globalisation with the
notion of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam (the whole
world is one family) and the narrower economic interpretation with increasing the
ratio of foreign trade and investment in a
countrys output.

BENEFITS
According to the Report of the 2nd National Commission on Labour,
the perceived benefits of globalization are as follows:
Sustained economic growth, as measured by gross national product
is the path to human progress.
Free markets, with little or no intervention from government
Economic globalization, achieved by removing barriers to the free
flow of goods and money anywhere in the world
Privatization
The primary responsibility of the government is to provide the
infrastructure necessary to advance commerce and enforce rule of
law with respect to property rights and contracts.

GLOBALISATION AND
EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP
Globalisation is a multi-faceted phenomenon
Each facet may have different effects on employment,varying by country, time, industry, policies and the like.
It comes as a part of large array of economic, technical,
social, legal and policy changes each with interactions
and feedbacks, making it difficult to separate the effects
of globalisation.

In analytical terms, there are three sets of factors at
work in the globalisation-employment relationship,
each with a differing theoretical and empirical
tradition:
The static reallocation of employed labour in response
to globalisation.
The dynamic growth effects of closer integration of economies with the globalised system,
The mode of insertion of the economy into the global
system.
