IMMUNIZATION INFORMATION SYSTEMSWhat you should know about immunization information systems:

Accurate, reliable, and timely information will contribute to a more efficient and effective immunization program.

It is now possible to get real-time information on specific elements of the immunization program, such as children due for vaccination, unimmunized children, stock levels at various stores, and temperature data from specific refrigerators.

It is also possible to use technology to send text messages to parents reminding them of appointments, to order stock through a mobile phone or computer, to track orders in real time, and to monitor equipment.

There are several good software systems that you can buy, use, or adapt for operations such as stock management, immunization registry, equipment inventory. They vary in functionality, complexity, cost, and flexibility.
